So the Div 1 salary cap is 110k? Your telling me Montrose is paying 1 player 35% of the cap. How do they explain it to the EFNL when they do their salary cap

Lol if you haven't noticed. I was at a club full of mercenaries and saw what happened when the money left. Im all for no salary cap but paying 1 player including a signing bonus 60k is ridiculous

Interesting discussion today about player movement.

Points need to be higher for 18–21year olds.
Clubs poaching kids pay a transfer fee to the club that the player played juniors for.

A state wide data base on all contracts that’s shared between leagues.

Not a lot happening in Div 2 by the looks. East Burwood lost a few, Croydon lost a heap, Heathmont look like they’ve lost a heap. Waverley Blues had a writeup in Leader about their squad supposedly being bolstered and reading it, it looks like one bloke from Oakleigh District and one from Ashwood. Not sure that’s gonna be that big.

Mulgrave might’ve picked up a couple. Templestowe should be strong again but you’d think Surrey by how far at the moment. Scoresby is the unknown but their pickups don’t look that great, just solid.

So what is happening in D1 Bunk?

Strong top 5 or 6 and garbage bottom three I think

Top half probably wouldn't be out of place in Premier

Montrose bonkers, if they have got McLaughlin too then they should be faves

Boronia very good with more additions

Park Orchards don't look to have really picked up anybody, but I think have retained so should be strong again.

Silence out of North Ringwood but if they don't lose any will be strong again.

Mitcham retained their squad and picked up a couple, but I think they will need something more to really compete - need to fill that key forward hole. They're touting a big announcement tonight so maybe they have!

Wantirna South a bit unknown but have picked up a couple incl a ready-made star in Wong, so could go alright. They'll be in no danger of relegation due to what is below them.

Beaconsfield looks like there's unrest there, they will tumble you'd think. Have lost their coach and key players. But again, doubt they'll be in relegation trouble.

Mooroolbark, Bayswater and Norwood look like they'll be shit again and will fight out relegation - Norwood have picked up a couple which should even up that fight. Mooroolbark have a couple but are still a very long way off the top half of this very strong division, think they'll be fodder again.

Actually didn't realise Mason Storr had left Scoresby for Boronia, that's a big out for Scoresby.

Nothing like a year of tradie apprenticeship work to give you a nudge to maybe try this professional athlete business one more time with a bit more maturity and grounding.

There'll be a fridgie apprenticeship and golf waiting for him when he's no longer a chance of AFL.

Good on him for giving it another go.
