Yeah man, my point exactly.Only the opening contest, and after goal contests. The square means nothing.
If the initial throw up becmes another contest, even if it happens in the circle, the rucks will still be able to wrestle.

I actually come here to post and query this exact thing. We won a lot of games last year by finishing faster than the oppo, I hope this doesn't backfire on us.I get a bit nervous hearing about pumping weights with a former rugby coach at the helm. NFL and MLB are power sports as well with little emphasis on endurance. The physical requirements of these 3 sports are nothing like AFL. I hope we aren't repeating the disaster that was Weber.
Also need to be fit and firing come finals...Said it yesterday but our season lives and dies on guys like Pearce, Young, Darcy and Switta being fit and firing for the majority of the season. If 3 out of 4 of those guys can play 20 odd games it will go a long way.
That and JL needs to take the shackles off more often. No more hyper-conservative minimalist trying to win games playing 1 quarter of proper footy crap.

Also think the 5th player on the bench allows teams to play with more burst players who can then rest for longer.I actually come here to post and query this exact thing. We won a lot of games last year by finishing faster than the oppo, I hope this doesn't backfire on us.
No, not open to the public. But will be telecast.Fremantle v West Coast, Victor George Kailis Oval (Cockburn), 9am AWDT
Is it really being played at 9am?
And is it open to the public?
Why so early? That is very unusual. Even an early Vic fixture is 11am our time at best. No, not open to the public. But will be telecast.

It's summer. They were probably thinking it might be a 35+ degree day and planned accordingly. Why so early? That is very unusual. Even an early Vic fixture is 11am our time at best.
And they are starting to crackdown on sharing. For anyone who cant afford to watch whatever football they want each weekend, but is interested in taking up high sea sailing, there is a VIP in a box that can provide free advice I believe.Holy moly, Kayo 4K is $46/month now.![]()
Honestly I would advocate anyone who can afford it not to pay that price either. And they are starting to crackdown on sharing.
