Good morning all (or is it!)

Rehab group
Consists of Young and Walker
Buuuuttt also Dogga!! (Will keep a close eye on him to see if he is being managed)

Training with the main group are JOM and Small Cox in good signs for their availability.

Jackson copped a heavy knock after he disposed of the ball in the last minute of the second quarter (just before the Treacy goal) Was hobbling around for a while. Could have been a corkie. I thought I saw a bandage on his upper right leg in the second half that I don't recall being there in the first half.

Yep, saw that, and was worried for a while afterwards as Dogga doesn't go down very often.

I think it's a corkie as well, but even that might hamper him a bit this week.

One way or another, you'd think Cox is a big chance to be unsheathed this weekend.

No problems with Alex Pearce he is out there and training hard, Scerri showing out at training with some lighting runs down the wing but spraying all his kicks on goal.

Whilst Young and Walker are doing lots in rehab it feels like they are not playing this week, Young is not even in his footy jumper number which usually indicates longer term.

Can’t see anything really restricting Dogga so hopefully just a bit of management but it does remind you that big Cox does need to be used for breaks for our rucks.

I told posters his injury wasn't just minor but will take a while.
I mean, it can still be minor, and he's still out for a few.

Given his history, even the lowest grade hamstring strain, you'd assume the club would err on the side of caution. Which would mean probably the standard 21 days + 1 week for good measure.

im looking forward to a team with 2 cox.

There's going to be some big melts on here when Darcy holds his spot this week.
Not for me. I fully expect Justin to go in unchanged unless forced changes occur (injuries/suspensions). I don't see the point in throwing hissy fits, when the team's playing well and winning (1 sample size only, I know). I don't even know what the most changes Justin has ever made, but he tends to keep it simple. I doubt he changes much unless it's forced upon him. If B. Cox is available I can see him changing out OMac for him, maybe. But it's okay, good teams want to build their continuity through best available, and Darcy really is seen as #1 ruck. Even if he's not 100% fit or firing, or in everyone's good books right now.

I'd love Cox to get a run, but if the club believes Darcy is the right call and he's good to go, then I'll trust their judgement.

Well there is no surprise there at all - he is 100% not getting dropped.
Of course, I think anyone expecting Darcy to be dropped when he's fit is using a bit of wishful thinking.

At the end of the day the club knows more than we do, if they trust he's capable, then so do I.

I was happy with the performance last weekend. I get the 2nd and 4th disappointed people, but when you pile on 7 goals in each of the others, you know a lot more is going right than not. Hard to stop those kinds of teams flexing firepower from all different angles and players. How good has Dudley been with his cameo bursts?!?! 6 goals already, good for 3 goals a game at pressie!

WE all want 160+ on the board, Amiss to kick 7 etc. But this early in the season whilst the team shapes itself and its new identity, there's going to be bumps in the road. I'm more excited for what's to possibly come than the present, because the bigger picture suggests this team could be REALLY hard to stop once it gains some serious traction. Someone somewhere could get an utter belting. Obviously, percentage boosts help, we didn't see enough of that in the better wins last year. I think we might this year, but it's so bloody early doors yet. Literally zero point melting about much in March. Brisbane are 0-2, I doubt they feel their wheels have come off. It's a long and arduous road.

I'm okay with an unchanged team. I'd like to see M. Cox too, see what he can do in purple at AFL level, but I'll trust the powers that be too. If it's Darcy, it's Darcy - hopefully he feels more confident in his body and is building match fitness from his opportunities. At least he's playing, we were bemoaning he couldn't even get on the park much last year. Opportunities will come for everyone and anyone as the year progresses. We all just want to win.

Let's keep that going.

Do we bring Coxy back in this weekend if he's cleared or do we wait until we play Adelaide?
I think they probably do. I'd maybe "save him" for Adelaide with a 6 game turn around, but I ain't no coach.

They'd have played him Round 1, Round 0 or Round Minus if he was available, so I think Justin will be keen in to get him in. Unlucky OMac.
