Disappointed that one of our best 23-28 players isn’t injured. WTF?I know its wrong but I get disappointed to hear that O'Meara is with the main group.
Happy for him but I just hope he's not seen as an automatic best 23 if fit.
Hopefully JL will back in the incumbents that got it done.
Which of course doesn't apply to Cox replacing O'Mac. Oops.
I am still gob smacked everytime I see people bagging out Darcy. And there are plenty out there that BFI about his role.He was at the bounce last year, that's true, from very limited opportunity.
I will list two players stats, one of them is Mason Cox, one of them is Liam Reidy.
Centre Bounce Ave: 12, Hitouts to Advantage Ave: 4, Hitout to clearance %: 38.9%, Score Involvements: 3.0
Centre Bounce Ave: 6.3, Hitouts to Advantage Ave: 2.7, Hitout to clearance %: 38.5%, Score Involvements: 2.8
This is Darcy:
Centre Bounce Ave: 17.9, Hitouts to Advantage Ave: 7.9, Hitout to clearance %: 40.5%, Score Involvements: 3.2
Mason Cox and Sean Darcy compare fairly well in terms of marks inside fifty, goal average and contested marks. That's where we would expect to see a similar game from swapping Darcy for Cox.
As opposed to playing in actually the same weather, also with a 6 break but on on a WAFL ground instead?I would be quite against playing Cox this week given the weather, 6 day turnaround and fact that Lynch/Nank aren't playing

Sad to hear Voss quiet; he needs to be himself but not try too hard. Hope he gets his mojo backExcerpt From
“TRAINING NOTES: Jackson in rehab group as Scerri shines”
The West Australian
“Luke Jackson, Murphy Reid, Chris Scerri, Matthew Johnson and Hayden Young news at Fremantle Dockers training
Craig O'Donoghue | Fremantle Dockers
Tue, 24 March 2026 1:51PM
The sight of Luke Jackson in the rehab group at Fremantle training would have alarmed Dockers fans today, but some of the performances from Murphy Reid and Chris Scerri would have them jumping for joy.
No Jackson
Fremantle ruckman Luke Jackson spent the session on the outer side of the oval with the rehab group after suffering a cork to his leg during the first half against Melbourne.
The Dockers weren’t taking any risks with their star big man as he looks to recover in time to face Richmond this week. Players rarely miss matches due to corks so fans shouldn’t be concerned just yet, but Jackson is set to have a lighter week.
Quiet Voss
Pat Voss is usually the loudest player on the field during training. He’s enthusiastic, bounces around giving the session energy and constantly encourages his teammates.
But after being the centre of attention since Saturday for his taunting of Harrison Petty, Voss was a different man. He was subdued and lacked the personality that has made him a favourite for Dockers fans. He clearly wasn’t himself after what’s been a big few days.”
“Murphy Magic
It wouldn’t be a Freo training session without Murphy Reid doing something special. there was the shimmy past plauers on the boundary line, there was the creative handballs to put teammates into space and the deft little chips that made life easy for the leading forwards.
But the sight of Reid dribbling the Sherrin like it was a basketball and having total control of the footy was a reminder of just how talented he is.”
Run Scerri, run
Nobody will ever forget the night Lance Franklin charged down the MCG wing against Essendon, leading Cale Hooker in his wake to kick an epic goal.
Chris Scerri looked over his shoulder at training, spotted Mason Cox as the only opponent anywhere near him and decided to try the same thing.
Scerri knew he had Cox’s measure, allowed him to just get close enough, then pulled away again as he took multiple bounces. Scerri had a superb debut on Saturday and has plenty of speed”
“Matt Johnson scare
It looked ugly when Matt Johnson went down clutching his right ankle during a tackling drill. Johnson badly injured his left ankle last season and didn’t get back in the team for the finals.
His leg got caught underneath him during the drill and Johnson immediately left the field to be assessed. But he returned five minutes later and completed the session.”
“Injury news
In better news for Fremantle, both Brennan Cox and Jaeger O’Meara trained with the main group and moved freely. Cox injured his calf during the pre-season, while O’Meara missed the first two games with a hamstring issue.
Michael Frederick was out on the field as he slowly re-builds his body following an ankle injury. Hayden Young and Brandon Walker were also in the rehab group as they work their way back from injuries.”

damn your right we could use his 8 touches a gameSuspect he will get it back when he kicks a bag. Hopefully this weekend.Sad to hear Voss quiet; he needs to be himself but not try too hard. Hope he gets his mojo back
Might be a bit wet and windy to kick too many. Will be happy to just get the W this w/e.Suspect he will get it back when he kicks a bag. Hopefully this weekend.
It would be a massive disappointment if we don't win the midfield. For starters, Darcy should dominate.Their mids are slow but know how to get first hands on it. First crack did a segment on it last night. The wet will suit them. We should be able to bully them everywhere else around the ground.
Going home for Easter. Is Freo training in adelaide?
Anyone know if we stay over hear between the games??
Surely not. That would be silly. Collingwood rarely travel. They get a 8 day break.Going home for Easter.
We gave up on staying the whole week in radelaid after the 2024 debacle.Surely not. That would be silly. Collingwood rarely travel. They get a 8 day break.
Then why are we playing there 2 weeks in a row?We gave up on staying the whole week in radelaid after the 2024 debacle.
Gather roundThen why are we playing there 2 weeks in a row?
Yea lost the week after in 2024 and 2025.Gather round
It's either 2 weeks before and during or during and after
We trialled staying there for 3 years, it didn't work so we have finally moved on (LY we travelled straight to melbourne so was similar)
You can barely get through a movie on the PER-ADE flight. Not the worst. Unless the movie disappears from the catelogue before your return leg.Honestly, the flight to Adelaide is very quick (for Perth travel). Given how long we have to sit on any other flight to somewhere in the world, it feels like you hop on and hop off. I think coming back is the write move
As an eastern stater it's quite jarring to see the phrase "barely get through a movie" being used to describe a short plane trip. You can barely get through a movie on the PER-ADE flight. Not the worst. Unless the movie disappears from the catelogue before your return leg.
