I think you take the two picks, purely because we need the height and I'd personally prefer to have the ability to turn Carlisle into one or even two talls if they're there. Not that I don't rate Anderson or think we don't need mids, but i'd prefer to have the option.

St. Kilda were the ones being hard to deal with here (pick 24 + spud ruckman for a bloke being offered 700k/year, seriously).

I'd prefer Carlisle goes to the Saints because the Hawks are strong enough as it is, but, if Saints can't get the deal done then that is their problem. They stuffed us around for the entire trade period with NDS, they have to do better at getting deals done so clubs can move on with other stuff, if you fart-arse around you open the door for others to come over the top.

worth noting that Melbourne's recruiter said they gave up pick 25 for Melksham because they believe if you commit to a player you have a responsibility to do what you need to do get the deal done and get it done quickly...

We like the 2 first rounder deal, would do it.

As of yesterday 5 is still off the table.

Laverde definitely slipped. He was rated a top 10 pick and somehow slipped through the cracks. Langford was projected to get picked up somewhere between 12-20.

With the draft being apparently shallow in talent, wouldn't 9 be better than 15 and 18? I dunno honestly.
