Said all along he just needed 8-10 games in a row playing afl and we’d see massive improvement. The coaches backing you in and knowing you won’t be dropped gives a player a heap of confidence. Another 4 games experience and a huge summer and he should be ready to go round 1 as a 22 game player. Sign him up now

Looks like he is starting to believe he belongs after initial early games was a bit meh.

Appreciate the work around the ground he is doing both offensively and defensively. At 21yr 9mths he could become better than Draper imho.

I was happy with the intent he came out from the get go. Was not intimidated by Goldy at all.

I think my favourite thing was him chasing someone with a burst of speed, maybe Thomas, Scott or Simpkin, on the north western flank (left end of screen near side).

Phillips had the kids run out yesterday.

He also played without the intensity that makes him work.

My guess is that Phillips is done if Draper is fit.

So my boy has taken a step forward this year. Very solid VFL run and now some good weeks at AFL level. Still needs to keep working on the core strength and more consistent marking but is heading in the right direction. Now we just need to sign him up.

Been calling for this kid to be brought into the team for a few months now, despite questions around his readiness/physical development. Shame it took Draper being injured for him to get a look in. Only hope we didn't dick around for too long and he hasn't already got a foot out the door with a contract offer elsewhere. Wil be a very good player and pair with Draper very nicely for a long time if we still manage to get his signature.
