It's not only about being weak in the contest though. He's also too slow for a backline that desperately needs run. Saad has to be in for Prior because he fits our needs more.

I didn’t mind him in the pre-season games. Thought he looked solid enough and didn’t have an issue with his selection.

That said, if we’re serious about standards being lifted he should be dropped immediately. Physical commitment must be a non-negotiable and he didn’t bring it last night.

Forget structures, team balance and anything else - no spots for players who don’t compete.
