I know a whole heap of things that would absolutely lead to performance management, suspension, and firing my ass if i did them. None of them are criminal charges.

I think the Age used some more specific terms when they first reported the most recent accusation against Thomas.

Just finding out whether it is 16-18 Games or weeks served which would be 12 or so games.

It is an old incident 18 months ago that has come to light and was missed during the original investigation.

Isn't 18 weeks beyond the AFL's deregistration policy? Like - wouldn't that mean the end of him playing footy?

I believe it’s 16-18 WEEKS, not games. This comes to around 10-12 games. Will confirm.

He was told last week, AFLPA is appealing it and trying to lower it. Has 0 to do with North.

Reason he is copping such a large suspension is the AFL is saying if we had of known about this during the original investigation you would have copped this punishment then.

Personally, I believe it’s a massive overkill as we are led to be believe he’s reformed and done a power of work behind the scenes? Yet punished for an old crime.

Seriously there is a long history of things getting covered up in the AFL like over 100 years. Figuratively the carpet that all the crap has been swept under would be 10mtrs wide 3mtrs high and go half way to the moon! Counterintuitively I think if TT can get through this it might be the best thing that’s happened to him for personal growth and development, the rose coloured glasses should have been well and truly removed.
