Past #26: Tarryn Thomas [Part III] - [C.Twomey] AFL rules TT is eligible to play in all competitions as of 14 October

Who's that ******* Australian on social media in America who regurgitates a lot of right wing talking points and calls himself The Alpha Male or some such nonsense. He looks like a tubby little banker who has to pay for sex.
Nick Adams? I'm not certain but I THINK he's just a w***er who likes taking the piss and causing a reaction. Some of his takes just couldn't be aired by someone possessing any kind of awareness at all with a straight face. This post was what fully swayed me towards troll rather than genuine far right nutter..

Counterintuitively I think if TT can get through this it might be the best thing that’s happened to him for personal growth and development, the rose coloured glasses should have been well and truly removed.
We said this last time about TT and it looks like he's done it again

Gone. 16-18 week suspension will be handed down on Monday/ Tuesday.

Just finding out whether it is 16-18 Games or weeks served which would be 12 or so games.

It is an old incident 18 months ago that has come to light and was missed during the original investigation.
Now that sounds credible. An old incident that wasn’t brought up. Who has the responsibility to bring it up? AFL to ask a catch all question that then places TT in future jeopardy for something he forgot or just didn’t think was worth mentioning or TT to disclose all his incidents of negative interactions with all the women in his life?

Fair dinkum it better be something out of the box otherwise TT is just being persecuted by the media and the AFL.

Ex Partner, abusive texts/threats around 18 months ago. He has been stitched given it is old news that’s come to light recently.

Reason he is copping such a large suspension is the AFL is saying if we had of known about this during the original investigation you would have copped this punishment then.

Personally, I believe it’s a massive overkill as we are led to be believe he’s reformed and done a power of work behind the scenes? Yet punished for an old crime.
So you’re telling us this ex partner kept this all quiet when TT was originally being investigated and tried in court for this behaviour. But now has decided to make a complaint about it? Sounds legit. :stern look

But if the case relates to events of 18 months ago and if there's a genuine rehabilitation taken place in the meantime then I would think a suspended sentence would be a more likely outcome - if this has been a court sentence.

Goodness, he could have king hit someone and been less severely penalised.

I will say however, that if the sentence info is fact then the leaking from the AFL rivals that of the Morrison government cabinet room.

Not if he'd king hit someone in the past. Past record is an aggravating factor for any semi competent justice official.

Do we have any indication that the events are from 18 months ago? And if it is from back then, how many sodding women can one bloke wrong?

It's hard to find an avenue through this that doesn't involve a facepalm. And to think the dude's probably gonna explore his options for a contract elsewhere at the end of the year if he can. I haven't forgotten that 'do my two years at North Melbourne' line and the antics of his manager

Yea i remember that line and thinking jeez makes it sound like he's doin a stretch

I'm actually relieved that this seems to be about an old offence because it then can't be claimed that he hasn't learned from his earlier mistakes and that the education programme he was required to undertake has fallen on deaf ears.

I think an old incident from that far back would also leave the door open for a successful appeal that could potentially be taken outside of the AFL's jurisdiction, particularly as his past sins were supposed to have already been dealt with.

Other factors that should be taken into consideration is that TT has already served a lengthy club imposed suspension last year. Furthermore he is currently effectively already serving another club imposed suspension after the AFL investigation into the complaint was announced. Those suspensions have to be taken into consideration when deciding on his latest punishment, otherwise where does it end?

Can’t wait for future instalments how many more do they have up their sleeve? Is this something that’s going to happen to TT on an ongoing basis? Surely the AFL has told the victim/s this is their last chance to disclose allegations? There has to be an end point surely….

Our schedule in the first 10-12 weeks will be challenging, let alone without Logue and now Thomas, if this is true.

If this is real its ****en bullshit.

Unless it was something really bad that deserved some sort of legal sanction or something. Even then...

At what point are you looking at rehabilitation vs punishment?

Something that’s been investigated, he has been through afl lead programme and now you’re going back over the whole episode?
Fook off ofal house

And who made the allegation? If its someone who hasn't come forward that's different and possibly requires some response.

Depends on the genuine extent of his so called rehab.

Or you can look into it and realise he was actually with the girl who is now the ex during the time when it was all being investigated? So yes it is very credible that his partner kept it all quiet as they were together at the time. Now that they recently split, she has gone to the AFL integrity unit with texts and evidence that shows abuse/threats from a situation that happened last year.

This forum never seems to amaze. People look for information, get information and it isn’t what they want to hear and then try shoot it down.

Give me a message this time next week, looking forward to it.

It is what it is. Get the groin right. Build some strength. Do a big block of running and skills. Hit the half way point of season in great nick.

Hope they don't send him away from the club. Get him involved in coaching /support through the VFL program

Would he even want to?

as an 'integrity' unit the AFL should be questioning why she kept it quiet until they broke up. she keeps evidence and then only decides to bring it forward after they break up....couldn't of been that terrible for her if she was happy enough to get back with him. it's clearly blackmail.
