And if he does get re-injured this coming game like previous occasions (which nobody can guarantee isnt going to happen) he will probably have to retire.If he's that ****ed that a single game poses too much risk, he would retire.
And all the arguements from all the people saying we should have played him will be catastrophically wrong. If it happens, I don't want to hear 'it was bad luck'.
If there is any benefit in holding him back he should be. There's a full off season of additional strength and conditioning available.
