He's lucky many are targeting McKernan as their whipping man as he's been very ordinary lately
He's earned tickets with his first half of the year. McKernan hasn't played well all year.

It is inexcusable for Brown to have missed both of his shots on goal.

Within 20 inside the "arc" has to be an expectation that every chance will be converted.

He kicks 2 and that's job done for a guy who is there to be a hard working foil until we can trade in or develop something ideal for the spot.

No confidence in him what so ever when he is lining up for goal. His work with out the ball is seriously poor as well.

Poor game happens move along like to see him as the 3rd tall behind joey and francis and getting on his bike a bit more. Still see a place for him remember guys bad games happen.

Nothing wrong with giving Mitch some time in the VFL..
He has been poor in front of goals as well as too easy to defend up the ground..
Promote Grimley for a few games, at least he is a dead eye in front of goal and it will give Brown some time to work on his competitiveness..

Hope someone can show him at our facility in Tullamarine where the weights room is....... he needs to start pre-season now.........has no physical impact at all in games - actually would like to know how many contested marks as a forward he has taken this year, if he cant mark on the lead or kick from 30m out then he is useless up forward...send him back to defence and if not then back to the VFL..... Francis had more impact in 5 mins then Brown did all game.....

Been a battler all year considering the circumstances, but just lately not cutting it at the top level

Agree with an earlier comment - a worry if still in our best 22 next year...

he's normally a good kick from tight angles too.
had a bit of a shocker against the lions. we can't really afford to drop him. he does what we need from a 3rd tall. just need to find that #2

Brown will be better when he can play as a third tall and not as a second tall. He's not a big bloke, yet right now he's playing on big blokes and he's been sort of forced to play in a role he's probably not well suited for just to help out Joe. If we had Bellchambers playing the dummy forward and Brown could lead up the ground relatively unhindered, he'd be a much better player for us.

His goal kicking is abysmal, but that appears to be the Essendon benchmark standard at the moment. Seems to be a combination of nerves and lack of confidence in our boys.

The best way to help our forwards would be adding two all australian midfielders so we get first use of the ball, adding two all australian defenders to create more opportunities from turnover and adding some class outside players to help us move the ball through the ground and fix our piss poor delivery.

Oh s**t, that's actually happening next year.
