Jasper will be a very good player but his understanding of the system and defensive aspects of the game still need development and thats probably why he is being played VFL still and understandable , Very young and needs to learn the game style and develop.

But im sure he will get a taste soon

last time we had a fully fuctioning forward set up and played to the rules. the ball lived in our forward line until they changed the rules.

We dont have a fit Lynch or Jack R and a whole host of missing talent.

Kid shows some great forward craft and goal nous in the VFL. Love to see him bring some of that to our forward line in the firsts

He's taller than 183cm. In the vid at his house, he looks roughly equal with Yze who is 187cm, a couple of cm's less that Brown who is about 190, and obviously a fair bit taller than Mansell at 180.

He is only 18.5 so still growing, maybe stopping now, but it makes him interesting as almost a third tall due to his marking ability.

After the whole Smith fiasco, I was hoping we never saw a debutant play as the sub again.

also has he buried the hatchet with the club a bit? Not that I think he had bad blood with club more just struggling with how successful we were after he left.

Lids mentioned on the Dyl and friends podcast that he met him when trying to recruit him (to be his manager). But I don't think that's why he was asked. He said Tim Livingstone reached out on Saturday to ask if he would present the jumper, seeing as he would be at the game commentating for ABC.

Lids speaks positively about the club on the podcast, so it doesn't sound like there's any bad blood there. Missing out on the flags would've hurt so it makes sense why he stayed away for a while.
