Can anyone else tell me which other forward besides faz is doing well in the AFL or VFL ?
I'm guessing forwards have not much chance with the current game plan of the last 4 years .

I'm happy with the development of Moore. Howe also played well yesterday.

Hey Ross, this boy is great. He is being unfairly treated at Collingwood. He is agressive, big, strong, has been known to take a mark, and has kicked some goals (in the VFL, mind you, but has kicked some).
we know your fist pick will be too high, so we'll take a second rounder. That pick will be in the region of 16-20.

l also thought that it was wrong to drop cloke this week manly because of structures of the forward line he provides
but l also new his form was terrible but was hoping one more week, and Anzac day would bring the best out of him.
but the way they played as a team with cloke not there was very good and hopefully some thing they can build upon
it was the right decision to drop him and hopefully he can get back to his best, but he should not be promoted till he has
a number of good weeks of form in the vfl

I think all players contracts should be conditional to their performance and the overall clubs performance based on expectation... incentive-based pay is a good thing.

Sold his home for 3 mill. Moved to kangaroo ground in a much smaller abode.

Have to remember that we don't have a pick in the first 2 rounds at the moment, reckon we would agree to a trade if it meant we got a few 2nd round picks or a first rounder.

Yeah, but a cloke languishing in the 2s won't get us a first rounder. And if he fires up again a first rounder won't get us a dominant cloke.

I wouldn't swap cloke for a second rounder. Not unless it was for a pick 19 and a decent young player.

He gets crap because of what happened with his mega contract which played out in the public forums years ago.

I'm a cloke fan. Always have been. I want to see the big man playing well. But something has been off with him the past 2 years. This talk of contracts earlier this season didn't do him any favors.


As they say, play good footy and the rest will take care of itself. Let's hope he can return to his best. I think he's got another 2-3 good years in him.

Don't care how out of form he is but if we do decide to trade him we better have an adequate replacement in mind.

Darcy will be a star in time but our KPP stocks need a significant boost if we are serious about achieving something in the not too distant future.

I seem to recall that in Copeland voting you get points just for playing seniors? So Cloke being in the VFL really hurts his Copeland finish as well as goals scored.

I think the idea of a resting ruck at FF is more attractive than a player planted at FF who only has one job.

I think without a dedicated FF, teams seam to have a better spread of goal-kickers. FF are still valuable to a list but I think teams like Dogs have nailed it by throwing Boyd in the ruck rather than leaving him at FF. It's a bit like in Cricket these days where an all rounder is more valuable than a pure Batsmen/Bowler.

It opens up some serious possibilities for both the Club and Cloke...its going to be very interesting come trade time this year

That cloke contract is fantastic news. With the assumption Swan won't be going on next year, cloke getting half his contract could give us upto a million to go chasing! Not that we have any currency to get some real quality on the draft table the list management team might have to get creative. Which I don't have much faith in which bursts my bubble a little.

I for one look forward to our list management team bringing in another midfielder we don't need instead of another key forward to build our forward line around.

It's not hard to understand that if you have a shot from 20 metres directly in front, you should kick it between the big sticks. Suppose Buckly has a limited vocabulary and can't explain that in words Cloke will understand../???

Yes this occurred to me that we would seemingly have a bit more cash to chase someone. I'd love to have a go at securing Hurley as our FB / CHB. Not sure what other key forwards are around to replace Cloke though
