He played poorly and is still coming back from injury.
I'd have liked to see him in VFL for a game or two then come in when ready to contribute. (as per Hansen)
An underdone JMac is better than a well done Jacobs imo... So I agree, was never going to be dropped.Phillyroo we played him on the underdone side last week, we are not going to drop him now that he should be less under done. They needed to retain him in order for last weeks selection to make any sense.

That's great and I agree.... But then the question needs to be asked...We played Jmac last week so that he is in some sort of form by the time we play * and Freo.
We are playing Jacobs for a point in the future where he will play a role in the midfield rotations.
This, Macmillan should have been made to earn his spotHe played poorly and is still coming back from injury.

Just wondering, do you have a quota of anti JMac posts that you need to get per day? Do you reach that quota with hours to spare every day? Did JMac steal your missus in high school or something???This, Macmillan should have been made to earn his spot

Why is Jacobs playing as a lock down defender??? I would prefer him I the VFL and to beat the bloody door down with dominating 40 possession games.
Good post mate.I would suggest (and that is all that it is a suggestion) that we won't learn a lot from him at VFL level in the midfield. He has an issue under pressure that I don't think they feel is recreatable at that level. I will go back to Sammy Wright as I feel he is someone on the cusp of getting to where he needs to be. in 2013 we continually played him depsite it being fairly evident that when under a huge amount of pressure he would not be able to execute what he 100% has the capability of. He is a Superb kick off both feet and missed must get goals from inside 50.
I think we actively want to put Jacobs into situations where he is under immense pressure so that he can get over the hurdle and begin to realise whatever potential he has.
Hahahaha very good by you!phillyroo are you related to jmac?
Does jmac have incriminating photo's of you?
Good post mate.
And maybe this is why he is in and out a bit. Expose him to that pressure defending at top level. Then send him back to win his own ball in the guts at Vfl level. Development plan at work maybe....
I think what frustrates a lot of people is that the development plan for someplayers is different.
Levi had to work in the twos, whereas Basti got to work at AFL level.
There are some that seemingly get more leeway for error than others which drives people nuts, I think it boils down to the vast majority of us not being privvy to what is said between players and coaches.
Ponder this, how out of form would Luke McDonald need to be before a stint at Werribee?
The one thing we rarely know is how the player's attitude is around the club from day to day.
JMac is not vanillaThe usual from him, vanilla
