There aren't any quality talls in this years top 20 apparently1 game for essentially pick 2? Hope he shows something in 26.
Imagine if tiges pick up a key tall with our pick. That would be some really tangible shit right there.
Daniel, Whitlock and second rounder vs pick 2 this year and pick 25 last year1 game for essentially pick 2? Hope he shows something in 26.

It'd only be ruck/fwd Cooper Duff-Tytler at 2/3, which I don't think is a need for us with Goad developing.1 game for essentially pick 2? Hope he shows something in 26.

Not true. Ruck/fwd Duff-Tytler and key forwards Archie Ludowyke and Aidan Schubert should be top 20.There aren't any quality talls in this years top 20 apparently
They won’t need to. They completely rebuilt their spine in one draft.1 game for essentially pick 2? Hope he shows something in 26.

COS played 1 game in his first year I think. I'm sure Whitters will gradually get more AFL games next year. It's unfortunate that he's tied to future first deal and the pressure that puts on him.
Because he's had a very solid first year for a skinny tall, generally uses the ball well and showed something at both ends.
I never expected him to debut this year, and to be honest he probably shouldn't have. Looked a bit lost and very much outsized.COS played 1 game in his first year I think. I'm sure Whitters will gradually get more AFL games next year.
Right now there's other players like Will Dawson or Trembath with the bigger bodies to compete at this stage.
And throwing him into a backline that's not stable and settled would be throwing him in the deep end.
Perhaps as the 3rd tall up forward, that might take a bit of pressure off him as he finds his feet.
Agree. Played too early, even though he had a good VFL game. Had a good year in the VFL.I never expected him to debut this year, and to be honest he probably shouldn't have. Looked a bit lost and very much outsized.
But he's had a perfectly acceptable year at VFL level, and shown he has skill and versatility.
Whether we can develop him (and any of our other kids) properly, is another question.
Not a bad idea to trial him as a third tall forward to ease him in to the 1's. Either he shoots the lights and stays up there or he eventually moves back as the interceptor or second tall kpd.
Unfortunate there's such hysteria about it. He could take the mindset that we rated his talent so highly that he was worth a top 10 - could build confidence. Never know. It's unfortunate that he's tied to future first deal and the pressure that puts on him.

I think you are asking a bit much some of some our fans there.Agree. Played too early, even though he had a good VFL game. Had a good year in the VFL.
You want him to be set up for success, either end of the ground. The backline is not exactly settled and stable.
But the coaches will figure that out I guess. Just hope fans give him the time to develop.

What will be beneficial is if he kicks 3 goals against Richmond of all teams, just to make the offseason a little easier to bear and the draft night as well...That he will get a game forward where he will be alongside Trembath and Payne who he has played games with will be beneficial.
Much better than the fish out of water experiment from earlier in the year.
After a Rich history of following our trials and tribulations on draft night in the past i think this year i will be conducting bode plots on my audio equipment instread. What will be beneficial is if he kicks 3 goals against Richmond of all teams, just to make the offseason a little easier to bear and the draft night as well...
Hadn’t thought of that. This game has a lot riding on it in the pride stakes. What will be beneficial is if he kicks 3 goals against Richmond of all teams, just to make the offseason a little easier to bear and the draft night as well...
