be surprised if he plays after the hit. looked like it hurt and he'd be sore. misses a decent game for him to make a show of it. happy to see him back for the tiges game.My point is that fridays game should be ignored for judging if he is ready or not for AFL. In his first game he was probably our best leading forward and I think he deserves another crack. Having said that I think that if Chappy is right to go he'll lose his spot regardless.
unlikely to play at all this week.Let him have a few weeks in the VFL. It'll be great for his confidence and development. There is no use chucking him straight into the deep end if he isn't completely ready. He has looked good, but still needs a bit more weight on him. Definitely an exciting prospect
I know. Keep him in the VFL for an extra few weeks after he is fit thoughunlikely to play at all this week.

Just looking back to the phantom draft and reading a bit about Langford
KYLE LANGFORD – 1/12/96, 190cm, 73kg, Northern Knights
Has become a bit of a pre-draft buzz player. Langford's trajectory towards the draft started early in the year, when he booted back-to-back five-goal hauls in the TAC Cup. He's a player with bounce and spring: he leaps well into marking contests, brings down the ball and gets moving. At his height he's a leading and marking half-forward, but he'll likely become a midfielder given his strong endurance. He has some spark, and would bring a new element to the Giants' forward line should he be available here.
Where is he at so far this year? A bit too skinny and inconsistent to be selected in the seniors? Could he replace Carlisle this week?
Do you think he could turn into a midfielder as suggested in the long term?
He's very light, but quite smart. He's a nice kick, so getting him up the field works well. I know Lloydy has said he's one of the best set shots at the club, but he's been a bit hit and miss when I've seen him this year.Just looking back to the phantom draft and reading a bit about Langford

It definitely looks like he's grown a bit and of course started to fill out. 192cm 82kg if I was to have a guess. He's very light, but quite smart. Have no idea what he'll end up as. He has a lot of class, is agile, and has a nice leap on him. Since he was one of the younger players who could be drafted, I wonder if he's grown at all towards 193cm or so.
Hird just said he would replace Browne (concussion), hopefully has better luck than last time!
He seems to be going to the right spots but you could tell when he got the ball he was very nervous. Just needs to relax and it will come with time.cant wait for this lad to play. he showed a lot in the stkilda game but just didnt finish off his good work by kicking the goals. Loved how he put his body on the line the last time we played north but unfortunately that ended his day with a massive corky. he is very dangerous and a clever footballer.
Lloyd, Lucas, Monfries in 2008?Langford - Daniher - Edwards are the most 'natural' forward trio that Essendon has fielded since the mid-2000s
Ok, I guess you avoided the 'mid-2000s' catch all by a year.Lloyd, Lucas, Monfries in 2008?
Success!Ok, I guess you avoided the 'mid-2000s' catch all by a year.
