Hard match up regardless. He needs KPD on him, which is pulling resources away from Wright and Jones. Only a few teams bat 3-4 KPD deep. Chuck in Stringer or Caddy and there will always be mismatches to exploit.

Also Langfords a tough cover 1 on 1. If the balls coming in fast and he’s one on one away from the pack you’d back him in to get a good shot most of the time

He’s issue was he wouldn’t distribute until he had the right option so he got caught holding the ball a lot.

You are allowed to say anything my friend and you’re absolutely correct. I didn’t ever think he would live that down. I just wonder how did he go from that to what ever he is now because I must confess I didn’t have much hope for him after I seen that.

True, it’s funny when you put a player in a position that they were good at as a junior more often than not they flourish.

Wouldn't entirely put the blame on former coaches for playing Langers "out of position". Playing him down back? Yes absolute mistake. Playing him in the midfield? Well ... he was the one who came out and said he wants to role model his game on Nat Fyfe, and so we gave him that opportunity.
