They keep saying this, it'll never happen.

Possibly they have worked out its exactly what he wants (24 hours in some minimum security country club that he can use to ratchet up his woe is me/its all so unfair/dems interfering with my campaign shtick).
On January 30, 2018, President Trump signed an executive order to keep the Guantanamo Bay detention facility open. The order revokes former President Barack Obama's 2009 executive order that mandated the facility's closure

If only!

Imagine the exploding heads if it ended up MAGA's god emperor getting shipped off to Gitmo instead of Hillary :tearsofjoy:

Judge Juan Merchan has ruled former President Donald Trump could skip a day in his criminal hush money trial to attend his youngest son's high school graduation.

What are the odds:
  • Trump plays golf instead;
  • Trump attends but falls asleep;
  • Mercedes "Malania" doesn't touch or look at Trump the whole time;
  • Baron appeals the judge's decision.

Or 5. Trump uses it as a campaign and grievance opportunity

1k is the max fine in ny

Not many defendants in ny go the contempt route , trump testing the judge to jail him so he could be a mandela for his cult

Btw trumps lawyers forced the custodian of c span records to fly to ny From texas to say the tape was real . Also the deposition company guy who did the ej carrol deposition had to fly from Indiana to say it was real.

Chuck him in the cells for 1 minute

Just to let him know his place in the order of things

Will Kennedy win the Dems nomination you reckon?
What I think is the same for Aus politics. They urgently need a viable 3rd major party. RFK jnr is an interesting cat. America currently just can't nail a person down the middle. Look at Bernie, got hobbled for Hillary and Joe. Would he/could he still beat Trump if he was up for nominations?

Joe Biden is a person in the middle. He's no further left than Malcolm Turnbull who ran for the right wing party here.

Some of his policies over the years suggest otherwise. But, it doesn't matter ultimately what we think, the Americans have a choice between a douche and a turd sandwich. As was stated in the Breaking Points vid I posted. It's the match up most didn't want.

It's a choice between Trump and not Trump which you'd think is fairly straightforward.

Well you have Donald who does nothing for workers, or Joe who sometimes does something for workers.
All I know is in the poll questions on whether people felt better off under Trump or Biden, the poll numbers favour Trump. And interesting enough there are a lot of businesses with issues on the wage increases (closing down, winding back offers etc etc). They definitely needed to address the situation ($7.25 average is insane), however, as a cost incurred/added, if people are losing jobs, he hasn't helped. But, they have had a heap of cheap workers and voters come over the border in recent times so maybe he has helped the labour force.

Well that's stating the obvious. And they will decide that.

The whole world is in a downturn. Kind of the way it is but people don't see the big picture.

Insanely low? Yeah I think so.

And the Republican states are working on cutting back child labour laws to allow children to work legally in dangerous jobs like meat packing.

Child labor violations have been soaring in the US, but efforts to render solutions through legislation have received little support, and Republicans at the state level continue pushing bills that would roll back current child labor protections.

In most recent fiscal year, the US Department of Labor wage and hour division reported 835 cases of child labor violations affecting 3,876 minors, and 688 minors employed in violation of hazardous occupation, a 283% increase since 2015. Civil penalties against employers totaled just under $4.3m.

There was a graphic somewhere showing a bunch of the Trump-related investigations on a timeline.

Just about all of them resulted in indictments of someone or other related to the Trump organisations and political movements, or Trump himself.

More are ongoing.

It is unprecedented.
