100% and this is a big part of why I tend to be a bit devil's advocate with him (plus I think our general shitness gets blamed on him too much as if he is the only weak defensive link which kind of annoys me on principle).

But yeah, it's not his fault the club were dingbats and offered more than they should. That's entirely on them.
There is an expectation tax you get as a recruit in sport, or any other entertainment industry. Take the money, take the flack.
Not that I’ve ever heard him complain at all, so maybe he is keeping up his side.
The real responsibility lies with the deal makers of so.

It’s so obvious that every opposing coaches instructions are: find the man who is Daniel’s is playing on.

Schultz went from a real average fwd pocket crumber and turned into Jason Dunstall. Imagine if it was clear weather conditions.

he puts further pressure on other backman to cover for him.

This is professional football you can’t be short and slow.

Unless you plat for North, then you’ll be selected every week.

Schultz kicked one goal and had three score involvements - as many as Daniel himself.

He was hardly their conduit to goal. He really did FA.

He's a spud. Daniels is better.
I'm agreeing only cos I love ya.

Daniels isn't better, but it's close enough to let it go thru to the keeper (which was me anyway). Sure you can tell, don't mind a chat, bit of Tim Zoehrer in me.

Funny story; Zoehrer was banned by Cricket WA for stealing his teammates bats and selling them.

Woah!!

There's a huge group of players I lump into the category "Meh". Schultz and Daniel both belong in that category.

Its also a category that seems worse than it is. Those players aren't necessarily shithouse but they aren't elite either. IMO their value is in the job they do.

JK staking a claim. Wants in.

I’f he plays R1 then we deserve every we get, can’t defend anyone over 160cm. Massive liability, if we are serious he can’t play.

Of the three players of similar stature:

Dudley
Watson
Pickett

Would you trust him to successfully defend any of them

How many would a Watson or Pickett kick one on one against him

I've been a defender of Caleb but it's hard to see how stays in the backline rotations once Hardeman, Colby and L Mac return to fill fitness.

The potential addition of Parker to the backline rotations doesn't help his chances either.

I would love to know the thoughts of these 3 men in the club with his ongoing selection.

Barlow, Tom Lynch and Adcock. If they are all singing from the same hymn sheet that he must be chosen in the backline each week 100%, then Houston (Arden Street) we really have a problem on 2 fronts.

1. Selection meritocracy.
2. Someone has way too much power on the List Selection committee and they cannot be challenged.

Daniel has fast surpassed Cameron Green who still is getting picked in the Test team while doing F#%k All to justify his ongoing selection.

Maybe they should swap sports?

6ft 7 footballer and a 4ft 10 batsman reads more logical.

Not a great analogy. Green is getting games on the basis of alleged potential, not his current output. That would make him more like BGZ. Don't think there's an untapped gold mine in CD.
