When you add to the compulsory 3 delistings that each club must make, another 3 for the 3 rookies elevated to the list and another 1 for the net player gain (Carey,Torney, Burns in and Johnson,Finnin out), the Crows have to delist 7 players.

My guesses are that the 7 will come out of the following 8 players:

Beinke (retired)

Angwin (certainty)

Perrie (had chances)

Nelson

Shirley

Skipworth

Shir

Hewitt

I would like to keep Shir and Hewitt as backups even if we have to redraft one of them.

Who do you think should go??

But they're all such champion players!

Both Marsh & Schell have contracts for 2003, so they are safe. Reidy was mentioning tonight that a player who has been unlucky with injuries may be delisted. Is this Fitzy? I hope not, as I would give him another year.

I would delist: Beinke, Angwin, Skipworth (perhaps put him on the rookie list), Shirley, Nelson, Perrie/Hewitt (1 of, but not sure which) & probably Shir (who I would look at redrafting).

Reidy mentioned that they make there decisions on delisting by Wednesday. Reckon one of the players could be a bit of a shock.

Ackland

21 year old ruckman who has played at the elite level despite his tender age.

Brogan

A great young ruckman who will be a star, was highly sort after during trade week (by Adelaide aswell apparently) but Port turned them down.

Cassissi

A good young player with exceptional skills who we got for a steal in the draft last year.

Hall

One of the next big things at Port IMO, built like a truck, great in and under player and can kick the ball a mile

Koulouriotis

#12 pick in the 2000(?) draft and although has had a few injuries of late is a good wingman.

Morgan

Good young KPP who can take a mark and will be in the running for Mead's CHB position

A Murray

A pacey young forward who is a high flying mark and can also play in the midfield.

D Murray

Injured this year with a broken leg but was in devastating form with Sout prior to that, finds it hard at AFL level but could still make it.

Thurstans

A great KP Backman who was instrumental in Sturts premiership this year, like Morgan will be vying for Meads CHB spot. Adelaide were keenly after him.

LMFAO!!

Just don't have a bad year with injuries!!! [/B]

There is not one player on that list that would be worse than any of the possible Crows delistings. The quality of our reserve players are alot better than that of the Crows.

D Murray - lol!!! Like he is better than all our potential delistings (such as Shir). You just crack me up with your stupidity! :p

I don't think that yours are any worse or any better. Just pointing out that every team has 'em. If they all played in the side at the same time (either yours or ours) that team would get an absolute pasting.

Murray is a hell of alot better than Shir. Both at AFL and SANFL level.

You can't say he is a 'hell of a lot better', Shir showed something when in the team this year, producing a very good game against the Saints when we needed it. This year, before being called up to the senior team he was playing brilliantly in the SANFL. You may think he is better, that's your opinion but isn't saying he is a 'hell of a lot better' a bit outrageous?

Shir played some useful football for the Crows this year across half-back. I can't recall D Murray playing a useful game for a while, if ever?? :p

No ours are alot better than yours, the majority of the Port players you mentioned and are an integral part of the clubs future where as the majority of the Crows players mentioned will be delisted.

The majority of the Port players mentioned are young players who are dominating at SANFL level and are just waiting for an opportunity to get into the Power side.

If I actually respected your opinion, I may be a little concerned ... but because you speak BS 99.99% of the time & never have a good thing to say about the Crows, I couldn't really give a toss what you think! :p :p :p

That's probably because you have never seen a Port match outside of Showdowns. D.Murray has double the amount of double figure possession AFL matches than Shir has despite mainly playing in a forward pocket rather than the easiest position on the ground.

D.Murray also dominates in the SANFL for South where as Shir does not.

Zombie wrong assumption #63948572 - I do watch at least 90% of Power games & most AFL games for that matter (in fact I have watched Port live in non-showdown games)! I would prefer a player who was more useful at AFL level than SANFL level. D Murray can dominate for South all he wants, because I can't see him playing for the Power again. ;) :p

Don't worry the feeling is mutual :p Seriously though the Crows players mentioned are not as good as the Port players mentioned, it is not being biased it is a fact, Adelaide wouldn't be delisting them if they were any good. Where as I would be surprised if more than 1 Port player of those mentioned got delisted.

Generally the crows players mentioned are ones who have been tried and test and decided they are not god enough where as the Port players mentioned are players waiting in the wings.

To be fair if you are going to compare the Port players to the Crows players we should be talking about Crows players like Handby, Smith, Schuback, Gallagher, Hentschel, etc

Have you got anymore contributions as worthwhile as this to add on this board?
Only that I seem to recall a couple of Crows fans claiming to have `won' the Nelson/Gallagher trade on the basis that Gallagher had been delisted, and now I see Nelson deemed similarly expendable. Poor Ben.

Geez, you are so full of it you are amusing. One of the reasons that some of yours are waiting in the wings are because they just ain't f***ing good enough!! And the Powder will delist some of these paper champions!!

We won that trade just by the fact we got rid of the most fustrating player to watch in David Gallagher. Couldn't of cared less if we got nothing for him!

D. Murray is gawn, for my money. Che might find himself surprised to be out on his ear.

Good post that might prove to be accurate. Che's time must be close to running out and Pickett won't help him there either.

Murray gone should be a given.
