Which of the two decades did you like better? The Sensational Seventees or the Electrifying 80s.

I prefered the 70s. It was when Footy was a real battlefield. No skinny players could play, otherwise they'd break their spines after getting whacked or smashed. Not to mention, it had some of the best comedy gold. Percy Jones... He was just fun to watch as you could get a lot of laughter from him.

That isn't to say I didn't like the 80s. It sorta got softer but introduced legendary players like Gary Abblet and Tim Watson and not to forget, Mark Jackson.

The 70's under Tom Hafey was arguably Richmond's greatest era. The 80's (post 82) were by far the worst we've ever been. I don't need to tell you which way I answered.

It's a shame this topic is inactive, I loved these 2 decades, they were a lot funner to watch than present day footy because of all the fights, whacks and talent.

Well either way, I thought the 70s were better. It was the year when Percy Jones was centermeters infront of the Goal about to kick it but he kicked the post by accident and rushed a behind... I laughed so much the first time I saw that... Literally, hard to breathe.

The reason it's inactive is because about 70-75% of the people on this website either weren't alive or not old enough to watch and comprehend football in the 70's and 80's.

I figured. There's always the DVD bundle at JB Hi-Fi that had the Sensational 70s and Electrifying 80s DVDs.
