Cripps will have the greatest season ever by an AFL player in 2016 - to the extent the Brownlow coverage and presentation will be cancelled. No-one likes watching a dead rubber.

A bit over the top, Thy.

TV network won't pass up the chance for ratings....

If anyone is interested, the club has put a feature out for you to add all the games and events for 2016 to your electronic calendar. Worked a treat on my phone and has all the game time and info for each round with links for tickets and media stuff.
Awesome, thanks for that Shan :thumbsu:

Added it to Mrs B's calendar, so she can plan social engagements appropriately.

I can actually see Cripps plateauing a bit this year. Combination of increased attention and (hopefully) a deeper midfield with Gibbs and Thomas back, Kerridge in etc. I know they are playing different roles but it does feel like we'll have more options this year.

All I care about is him demonstrating incremental improvement and not getting seriously injured. Anything beyond that is gravy.

I tend to agree, opposition clubs will start to put a lot more work into him and I believe that it'll take him a bit of time to adjust to the increased attention.
All we can really ask is that he continues to put in the work the way that he has to date.

Ever tried to stop a bulldozer?

I recall a game last year where the opposition tried to tag Cripps - completely ineffectual.

Cripps kept getting the pill and the opposition effectively played 1 player short.

Long may that continue!!!!!

I know everyone looks fit and strong in the off-season (Colin Sylvia excluded), but geez he looks like he's had another body transformation.

A giant follower from WA with the game's best handball... He's the next Polly Farmer! ;):p

(he's got 3cm on Polly!)

I suppose that's the good thing about having a 6'3 - 90kg inside midfielder - it makes it harder to block their run at the ball.
That said, I was more thinking that he could start to cop the Judd treatment of numerous blokes going through him on a weekly basis.

The thing with Cripps is he is happy to dish some back if required. Judd was less likely to do that therefore more likely to cop this treatment on a regular basis.

If he can be as good a footballer as I think he will, it shouldn't matter that he is targeted. Understand his job will be harder, but I expect that he push through and still dominate games at times and generally be pivotal in the team every game. I'm not going to let the guy off the hook! Excellence from everyone from hereon in.

Please tell me he doesn't go to Nite-clubs with Kouta and Woof..

If cripps can improve to the extent opposition clubs put multiple players into stopping him each week the freedom it will give the likes of Murphy, Gibbs, Thomas, etc will see our midfield be highly effectual this year.

Certainly won't be a lack of supply for these young forwards if/when they get a run at it.
