They're just a bunch of weak girls
They have since been very happy and played to their best
Time for roo Burton and Campo to weed out the weaklings and get this club back to dominance

The difference though is that Jenny doesn't act like she knows anything concrete at all and speaks accordingly to such ambiguous knowledge (about the Camp). Others are choosing to speak like they were there, knowing full well they're relying on mostly rumours and heresay.
Jenny was just trying to point out some flawed thought processes.

I don't want to keep speaking on Jen's behalf, just that she was really trying to make a point (along with a few others) that you made a damn big assumption about the physical and mental torture/abuse going on in the Camp. This was really a flawed statement. Jen was using your example as a forum attitude how this type of things keep recurring:
1. rumour
2. BF discussion/rants/outbursts
3. rumour becomes fact
4. more rants/outbursts/sack threads

And if myths are dispelled:
1. media keeps carrying on, therefore there must be some hidden truths/club agendas.
2. BF discussion/rants/outbursts
3. rumour becomes fact = club is hiding something
4. more rants/outbursts/sack threads

It may be time to get this thread a little more back on track and suggest another different perspective, speaking from my own personal experience, and one that I am certain was shared with many supporters and BF forum contributors, and that is the impact of the 2017 grand final performance had on each of us.

I know I had great expectations of at least a thrilling game going down to the wire, but even greater expectations that we would win, and for such a poor performance to be dished up really shook me personally and I was quite stunned and shattered during/after the game, I know even now my enjoyment of AFL is not the same since that event.

I feel this is not unique to myself and many of us who are emotionally tied to the Adelaide Football club have experienced something similar. Of course for us we are mostly able to move on, but to be in the club and to feel responsible for this, it's a burden I would not care to have.

This disappointment is reflected strongly in our social media, reactions to events at the club, subsequent performance fall outs, responses to players leaving the club etc..

The time has come for a complete circuit breaker, because externally we can be certain no matter who you are in the AFL if you are not supporting Adelaide you are most definitely against us!

The point is, I can get all upset and angry like you are, or I can wait until the review is complete and then react according to the outcome. You are going to maintain the rage and then double down if the outcome isn’t what you want which is what you expect, right? And achieve what exactly? Everybody backed the players in. They’d just made it to a GF FFS. Pyke was right to look for a way to improve mental toughness. We didn’t quite have that animal instinct. Like you said, the camp wasn’t the main problem - in fact, in the overall scheme of what was 2018, it was the least of our concerns (though played out the biggest in the media). Our injuries were the single biggest factor of why we fell in a hole in 2018. The handling of BOTH of these things were very poor. Perhaps the fallout from one (camp) masked the fallout from the other? 2019 became a “but we just need to back the boys in” mantra in selection policies and was singlehandedly the worst thing we did. Who drove that? Pyke? Campo? Both? Maybe you could forgive them for the first quarter of the season (assuming that with the camp and injury situation behind us all would be returned to 2017 standard) but once ROB proved himself, surely it planted the seed that the kids could be worth giving a chance? They always spoke about “learnings” where I think it was clear they weren’t actually learning from any of their mistakes.

I know we did. But should have we is the question.

We got belted, instead of thinking the core group needed to be toughened up mentally, perhaps the right call was to refresh the list then.

As for '19 agree, the back the boys in was mystifying, we'll never know who drove that, but it's already cost Walker captaincy and Pyke his job. Not sure they are they only to blame.

FFS I wish you people would jump off the Camp issue, and the blame games.

I can grantee that BF would struggle to find more than 5 posters who have ever been thru a true mental toughness camp design to push you to your limits,
I can also grantee there would Not one AFL footballer that been through a full-on session designed to test you both Mentally and Physically.
Most would have gone thru water down versions. and I do mean water down versions.
