I was wrong.
(He did stink it up as a defender though).

What's changed now (2 years later)? Whats his best position?

He's a utility.

Doing a good job when called on. I didn't have a lot of faith when he came in as a defender last week but he has done well so far. This week will see him are on genuine tall forwards so he's in for a huge test again Bellchambers or Ryder or Crameri or Gumbleton or even Daniher.

All our backs will have a huge task this week maybe the biggest test so far I think , they have been throwing Watson down there to

Eh, put him head to head on JPK will keep him a bit more honest than last night.

Everitt shouldn't lock down a spot in either defence or the foward line. He's an LRT type utility. While not the greatest in either position (fwd/def) he is good enough and helps structurally more-so than most players could given his versatility/flexibility. I think the same can be said for Reid too if he is able to get a regular gig roaming around and playing a defensive role every now and then as well.

This is the golden age of the swingman
I have a dream that one day coaches will move Everitt's to the Forward line in the 2nd-3rd quarters with the obvious regularity of an Adam Hunter or the success-at-coincidencely-same-time-as-the-cats-are-already-40-points-ahead of a Harry Taylor. And it will be lauded. Oh, how it will be lauded!

Everitt is a fill in the gaps probably needs injuries to the best 22 to play. But he has shown a bit this year, i am actually quite positive about what he can give the club going forward.

Very handy for us. Makes a good fill-in for AJ which will sharpen the defensive side of his game (while matching up an opposition forward can also be good learning for his own forward skills). While he's not yet the intuitive defender AJ is he has a very big and accurate kick coming out of defence and has quick hands in traffic.

When LRT hangs up his boots he could slot into his swing-meister role. Same height as LRT and a few years & kgs less.
