A must for the Crows for the rest of the year is to play Ken McGregor played Full Foward, and make him the key target. He is the ONLY player that can take a contested mark in the Crows forward line. Nathan Bock is good on the lead but cannot take a contested mark.
PLay McGregor forward and give him the whole forward 50 to spread into.

And a MUST for Crows at the end of the year. Draft a GOOD TALL, FULL FORWARD PLAYER WHO CAN PLAY FORWARD AND BE A MAIN TARGET UP FORWARD, we have been shit up forward this year

We've done this. Drafted numerous tall forward prospects.

They take time, lots of it. You can't just draft some skinny 18 year old kid and say "kick 75 goals a year"

I thought thats what we did last year. We got Sellar, Tippett and Gill all for that purpose

Then why is Buddy Franklin as skinny as a rake, and yet is one of the classiest and best forward going around at the moment. He is young aswell, we need someone exacly like him

He was draft pick 4ish iirc. We've never had a pick higher then 7

He can't take a contested mark either, few really can. Mcgregor is one of them but he really does need some smaller players around him to take advantage of the contests he creates.

You mean like we have to chance some of these drafted players on the field instead of using the same players that there is no confidence in to kick too.
Yes there is no crumbing support anywhere if your forward is strong enough to get a punch on down in front there should be someone there but everyone is busy leading it doesn't work.

1 - He's been in the system since 2004
2 - He was taken with a top 5 draft pick - Which we won't ever have in the near future. You don't get guys like Buddy with your first pick outside the top 10.

Westhoff would be nice right about now. Wouldn't carry the forward line but would be a nice tall option who can take a contested mark.

Any of the players been drafted would be nice to get a shot on the field right now, seriously Bock not seeing the benefit of him not nearly defensive enough complete lack of speed.

then we need to have a shit year and finish in the bottom half so we can get someone like buddy

Once again

1 - Why would we throw away a season, just to get a high draft pick, which could well be thrown away.

2 - You're not guaranteed anything in the draft.

I think expectations of someone like Buddy Franklin are a little far fetched but dont forget we've been unlucky with our recruiting as far as a KP forward goes. Hentchel was just starting to look like a real standout in the league when he went down (hope he can come back to his best) as well as numerous others ("frizy" could play abit before injury-no buddy by any stretch, but useful). Now Sellar cant get on the park in the SANFL!:(
On the upside, it was good to yell out "KENNY!" again this arvo :thumbsu:

I think we are a better team with Kenny at FF.

At the end of the day we nearly knocked off the top side today with about 18 fit players.

We were only 7 points away from everyone around here going crazy about how good we are.

North Adelaide won't like that :P
He doesn't appear to be performing that well though.
The selectors are quite happy to pick Welshy every week. He's not performing. We need to bring in someone who will make an impact. Gill is that someone. And frankly I couldn't give **** if North won't like it, it might give Glenelg a sniff of winning a game.

trust me mate, i know ;) nah kidding, love the name Gregor though. For crying out loud please lets never not play this guy again. As many of you may have guessed Im somewhat of a Kenny fan. Ok I'll admit, ive got #16 on my back right now ...and all his badges on my scarf (long story), and Ive got the autographed player card, alright Ill just admit it my Dream Team is called the Ken McGregor Football Club! Ok, so Im biased but seriously, gotta sound better than "IPFC".

The alterior motive shines through :P
I don't think North will miss him terribly Ladhams Alleway and Younie are doing well.
Even with Gill in we need someone crumbing and if Bock goes back we lose Stevens better ability at ground level down back though he takes that skill down forward what does Bock give you other then a slow in leg speed and in decisions big guy who is poor at ground level which really you can't have when trying to rebound.
Bock out and Massie in seems good enough to me as Bock doesn't appear to give the side much at this time Massie can do what Bock has been doing and more.
