Something different in the air this week, unfamiliar territory playing week 2 knock-out finals...
So I thought i'd pen a little poem - all lyrical like your mum and dad's vinyls...

Strange week this one, Bomber unsure what's going wrong, lego Chapman, Jimmy fronting the media...
I'm sure he'll have a cracker - just slight nerves about whether everyone else will join ya...

Auf wiedersen Mackie and (thank christ) Blake...
Welcome back Podsy and some bloke the piss out of which I usually take...

Shouldn't be worried against the purple army really should we?...
Surely it's straight through to the next round and mad monday for adam mcphee...

But never take a win for granted my old coaches used to tell us...
I just get the feeling they're going to play the football that makes other fans jealous...

Because September is a ritual for this mighty team...
Let's hope they've got one more in 'em, or i'm going to need shitloads of beam...

Pies and saints after this, if we make it...
I've got a feeling we're gonna shake it...

Told everyone I quit football after last years win, how good was the feeling?...
But now I want nothing more than a third cup, before summer 2010 gets me peeling...

Carn the bloody cats, tonight i'll be yelling...
Let's hope it's one sided and easy, like tori spelling...

Ok, here is mine:

I just cannot wait for this friday night
For the Mighty Cats will put up a great fight

With Selwood & Gaz, lets not forget Chappy
Their efforts last week, were somewhat Crappy

jPod in the side, is a great sight to see
But Hardluck for Mackie, Unfortunately

Will big Sandi play, Forward or Ruck?
I think either way, he will run out of luck.

The MCG is a different ground to Subiaco
Anyone who thinks otherwise is somewhat quite Wacko!

For the Dockers are taking on one Champion side
And I think Geelong will take the challenge in their stride

Because under the Lights at the G they belong
At the end of the night you will hear... WE ARE GEELONG!!!

Watching them, it's hard to stay awake;
The Pods will kick six,
The forward line he'll fix;
