I have been a supporter of bucks this entire time but this bizzaro zone he has made up in the off season is horrendous.

We were on track last year but it has really fallen apart. He needs to give up on the zone and go back to basics. When we dont have the ball we are useless. When we do we dont know where our teammates are.

If he sticks with the current gameplan then he will have to go.

Still love the man and will forever but this is not acceptable.

He deserves nothing, despite being a Champion player and a decent bloke.

He has turned us into a laughing stock in a space of 2 years after taking over one of the best lists Collingwood had ever had.

And no amount of baseless and utterly laughable tripe like herpa derp I believe in Bucks, we're building the bestest list eva, we need to bottom out and apparently shouldn't judge Bucks' ability to coach on plummeting down the ladder every single year changes this fact.

But yeah......nice post. I tend to agree with your sentiments about the need to serve an apprenticeship elsewhere. I also believe there is only so much a coach can do these days if the team surrounding him isn't up to it , and I think that's our main issue. But then of course Bucks should be perceptive enough to know that (if it's correct) and seek change.

One thing I think Collingwood is better than most at is giving their coaches enough time to prove themselves and I really hope Bucks succeeds .

Totally agree dude. I still think he deserves to finish out his contact. It's not even the last year and we are completely shredding him instead of supporting him.

The contract requires each side to perform their obligations. Nathan is not at the moment. Why would Collingwood honour its obligations of the contract when Buckley isn't honouring his side of it?

Bucks is a Collingwood man, first and last. He will not need to be told his time is up. He will battle on manfully over the next couple of months, but eventually he will realise that he cannot turn things around and IMO will resign.

All is not lost though in terms of next season. We will see kids get more game time and who knows, one of two players might just step up. A new coach will bring fresh ideas, something our club is crying out for, both on and off field...
