Yes it is getting to that time of year when some folk are ordering new formal wear, primping their hair or rugs,flossing their pet tooth and readying themselves for beezing it up?
Each of us has observed the exploits of colleagues and players from other mobs in Match Threads as well as media. We all have a view on who should poll well at our own Club.
But what about across the Comp as a whole? The Toga Times has done some extensive research and talked to reliable sources at every Club. Even though we are a few weeks out from the end of the H&A, we believe we have narrowed down the favourites and the top 52.
Here are the top 4 at each club. Apologies not for *ing off the Alphabet tyrrany.
Gold City Royals - most votes will go to the worthy Cadsky, CakeEater will poll well as will the very funny Recruit Membling. The TT Sentimental Favourite is GreyCrow who has delighted folks in Match threads for yonks.
The OOBs - Can Turbo go back 2 back? Word out of the OOBs is other candidates may nick votes. This includes Mrs Turbo and Mobbs. The TT outsider is Bonz who often provides an interesting alternative view.
The Roys - TedDougChris despite his odd name has emerged as likely to be solidly supported in the voting thingame. People appreciate his dry wit in match threads and being one of the few constant sane voices in Committee Land. Zevon and Mooch will get heaps of votes as well. The TT outsider is Elmer_Judd.
The Bears - There is no clear probable vote leader for the vegans of the Comp. We reckon the top three will come from Broken, Cap, JWS, tony and Ding. The TT outsider and sentimental fave is MuddieMoose.
The Wazzes - A Club with some great posters who unfortunately are outnumbered by grave sites. Tonga Bob ever the best bridesmaid never the groom is the red hot fave. TIF will go close again but willbe delighted if Bobby brings home the prize. FootyGuy13 will deservedly pick up heaps for his contributions and charm. The TT outsider is the ever hilarious Spudmaster.
East Side Phoenicians The WizzyFruit and Porps will both poll heavily, while TheMajestic will garner heaps on his return. The TT outsider is eth-dog, don’t ask me why but I understand there may be a push from the Qicket mob.
Baghdadaist Burblers - This mob for reasons that escape us rarely provide beez contenders. Pugsley Will poll heavily as will BAT and Kilroy. The TT rank outsider that may be worth a Bob of your cash, not ours, is iDon.
Mt Bulla Demons - oh dear after pillaging other Clubs , the Bunnies assembled a great team of posters but a team the sim despises. Despite the internal competition Hate should easily poll the heaviest of the Dees. Plenty will nick votes, inc sante and sausageroll. The TT expect Mang to deservedly poll well.
The Wonders - as the Comps bunch of humble, contrarian ratbags and revolutionaries beez awards are not for them. However ClarkeM will attract heaps of votes for saving the fixture and competition. The UltimateRessie and Harpsichord will deservedly attract votes. The smart outside bet was to be Cubs2Lions but apparently his Ralph persona is a Simpersons character which dqs him.
The Furies - Omgfridge and James Colorado will attract heaps of votes. We expect Pickitt to attract votes if there is a cougar/voter called L——-a who is allowed to vote. Other staff at TT claim there has been a bucket of dosh plonked on NaturalDisaster at long odds to finish top 30. Great Zeus it is hard to get good help nowadays.
SmarmyPratts - TheOkeydokey chap will get a poultice of votes for being a strong presence in media and match threads. Others to deservedly garner votes will be philreich and the very witty grav. The TT outsider worth consideration mainly because he sponsored the first Wonders Festival is KennedyParker.
The Drags - There are admired teams and beloved posters and then there are the Dragons. The TT does not subscribe to these unfair characterisations. serial_thrilla is widely admired and a constant witty presence in match and media. He will poll heavily again. Strigoi and Hatchy will pick up votes for their humorous presence. Feature writer ClarkeM impressed on me the need to include the Ljp poster on the basis he will get votes as they get a prime possy in the team despite rare match thread contributions.
The Gumbies - Falconista deserves to poll heavily for media, match day OPs , match threads and contribution to the Comp. We at TT think the perennially hard done GWS Goose will also feature heavily and there will be some residual votes for DockerDen for rustling the OOBs collective Jimmies. The TT outsider is Barrybran as we believe some will vote for him out of habit.
So ok that is it. The info leaked from each of the 13 Clubs to the TT suggests the beez will be a near run thing this year.
