I believe that ablett is comfortably ahead of hodge. He just has that X factor about him that hodge dosent seem to have and is far more damaging with the ball.I think the fact that hodge dosent break the lines enough really does go against him.

lets look at the achievements of the two

ablett
premiership player
AA player
most valuable player of the year as voted by players
best player of the year as voted by the coaches

hodge
AA player

While Albett is better then Hodge on the form on 2007, Your "hodge doesnt break lines or is damaging" with the ball is the stupidest thing you have EVER said. Give hodge the ball at HFF and most coaches are shitting themselfs.

I really wish you barracked for a different team! All garbage topics like this do is make people more likely to troll us. :thumbsd:

I'd take Hodge btw.

Tough, classy players who can hit a target on the chest from 55m don't grow on trees.

tough ? the bloke got 8 disposals in the most important game of his life, not saying hes not good but hes clearly not tough if he dosent stand up when hes most needed

and coaches wouldn't do the same if ablett had the ball 50 meters out from goal:rolleyes:

You are an absolute clown at best. 2 totally different players. Hodge can play all over the ground and will end up being a leigh matthews type who will kick a lot of goals and Ablett is a superstar but will only ever be a midfielder or resting forward pocket. do not come compare them u clown. why do u idiot remember the game he was playing injured and not remember the adelaide game where i believe he won us the game.

From a neutral fan i believe Hodge is the perfect package when it comes to a midfielder/Utility. He scores goals, he assists goals, he has as good a left foot as anyone in the game, he can rebound from half back, he can get the loose easy footy, he can win the hard footy. All these things Ablett can do to but Ablett can't hurt blokes or Tackle like Hodge & for this reason & for the example he sets i choose him over anyone in the AFL as a package of a midfielder, still take Brown & pav as 1 & 2 thoe.

When did i say they wouldnt? could you link me to it?
Also, i dont think you should be calling into question hodge's toughness when Ablett wears make-up

this is not a have a go at luke hodge thread, im just saying hes not as good as ablett

even mike sheehan had ablett a long way ahead of hodge in his top 50

And Mike Sheehan is widely regarded as a clown. Everyone knows that. I repeat - Get over your Hawthorn obsession dickwad. Do you deny that you aren't obsessed?
