Here we go. The man that polarised opinions on this site for the past few years, but let's not remember him for that, let's remember him for those brilliant left foot kicks, those ridiculous snap goals, the goal celebrations :D and the odd speccy.

Farewell Oooze, wish you all the best for the future mate. A wonderful player for our club and I was very glad I got to watch you play.

Kicking 5 in about a half vs Collingwood was great. He was on Dane Swan?

Kicking 5 vs Richmond in a crucial game in 2005 when Neitz went down before the bounce.

Running down the wing with OOOOOOOOOOOOOZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEE in the background

Getting dropped last year then coming back with about 40 touches.

We Dees fans should rename the northern pocket at the Punt Road end the 'Yze Pocket'. It was a joy to watch him pick the ball up on that pocket, run straight towards the boundary line (not even contemplating running in towards goal!) and thread the ball through the middle! He did that numerous times and always followed with a big celebration directed towards our fans sitting in the Olympic.

Brilliant player, loved watching him over the years, all the best!

Have really enjoyed his work over the years. Was never a massive 'fan' (as in having him as a favourite player), but he's been great for us and if he can get a game for somebody next year then good luck to him.

His brother was on the Carlton supp list at one point too.

Great player over the years, two goals stick out ni my memory.

1) His goal against the crows in the 02 semi final in the punt road end/olympic stand pocket.

2) his checkside goal in the same pocket against Essendon in round 1 of 2005, he was running the wrong way to lay checkside kick.

Love that mark, had it as a screen saver for about a year. At his prime there was no more reliable player then Ooze.

I don't think that it'll surprise anyone to know that he has the lowest handball to kick ratio of any melbourne player who's for us in the last 15 years and totalled over 50 games, just under 4 kicks to every handball.

Yeah his brother Damian was almost picked up by Carlton. I think he may have been a little reluctant to join them in the end. Champion FF in the GVFL & KDFL, kicked over 100 goals quite a few times.

He has been a tremendous player for us over the years. Many people might remember the criticism he copped later in his career, but they should never forget how good he was from roughly 1998-2004. His skill, consistency, and freakish ability made him one of the most dangerous midfielders in the league.

Was a dynamo midfielder for us before transforming himself into a forward pocket with great success. The Ooooooze chant will be loud this week

All the best Oooze

Thanks Ooze for the memories, a champion of our club.

I think we do have something to thank ND for. When he took over he sent Yze to the half back flank, and he shone from there, using his exquisite skill to start many an attacking move. Great memory of his game against Collingwood, but generally has been a great player with freakish ability.

Played a big part in Nothcote Parks 4 premierships in a row, kicked a lot of goals for them in the now defunct Daimond Valley league, now known as the Northern Football League.

That goal against Essendon that saj is referring to was fantastic. I remember the night, the Troy tribute game and he kicked it early in the 1st. Crowd went ballistic.

always been one of my favourite players...could kick them from anywhere, freakish skills and so consistent at his best one of the best players going round
we all need to get to the G on sunday to say thanks to Ooze and Whitey
