I treat is as a normal game worth normal points and I rank it against the other games.

Agree, just doesn't make any sense to me either. Only thing is IMO you have to leave decent points for MNF (7+) so you can change your tip if need be for Next Duel

Hardest week to tip EVER?

Honestly when you're considering the Titans as one of your top tips you know it's a tough week to be tipping NFL.

Makes you appreciate the NFL Herm Edwards even more.. I use to believe that 70% of games were 50/50... now I'm convinced that 90% of games are definitely toss of the coin jobs. Could well be 'secret' to finding those winners that logic doesn't allow.

Anyhow Albertonrob.. I trust you're still enthralled by the weekly challenges of the AE.. I have more ND wins than you and I SUCK!! But I believe in something mystical... that keeps me thinking 'what IF' and ..... the Herm mantra

Everyone is a chance still... just need to start flipping those coins to play the game on another level..


For the initiated here's where it at... Back in day there was a J-E-T-S HC who plead to his players to stop thinking like they were plebs and actually have a crack.. regardless of the odds stacked against you.HERM EDWARDS is that very guy from the school of hard knocks where a champion team is made from that united underdog force who love to play with a chip on their shoulder = Herm Manta = bringing on the upsets ... that's why they play the games because 'paper champions don't exist anymore in the NFL'.. a collection of varied rants..

Just for a quick summary regards the ND play-offs this season.

Week 12
Each Conf : 7 Div winners + 3 Best WildCards Records = Bye
Extended Wildcard Qualification Round
Next 10 Records play-off for 6 wildcard spots each Conference
Determined by Highest Scorers amongst those SIX
in Week 12 ( refer to wildcard tie-breaker below)

ND WC Tie Breaker
1. Win-Loss-Tie (percentage) record <Overall>
2. Head to head (if applicable)
3. Win-Loss-Tie record (percentage) <Division>(if applicable)
4. Win-Loss-Tie record (percentage) <Conference>
5. W-L-T record vs common opponents (if applicable)
6. Strength of Victory (total wins of opponents beaten)
7. CR Points
8. Countback of Weekly Scores starting week ten

Bottom line: Sixteen participants from each conference go thru.

The tie-breaker criteria for ND Play-Off qualification as follows:

1. Overall W/L/T % record
2. H2H** indifference among 3 or more opponents is offset (invalid)
3. Divisional Record (W-L-T % record) if applicable.
4. Conference Record (W-L-T % record)
5. H2H only in a two team basis
6. CR score
7. Common opponents if applicable
8. Aggregate total of five highest scores (from Weeks 1-10)
9. Countback of CR weekly score

83%, the exact % that teams who win the game also cover the spread in the history of the NFL, a person flipping coins on who will cover the spread is going to very close to 50% after a large enough sample so there is my reasoning
