Has a player ever left a club and then returned to it?

Davis would go way better as second tall. We need some rebound though, has he shown much of that at the giants?

I wouldn't mind philthy phil davis coming back. I think even though he hurt us at the time, would be fairly exciting to see him come back and I think majority would welcome him back with open arms. If he can stay on the park him and Talia would be an awesome combo.

Just as long as he doesn't still the number 1 forward from our loyal favourite boy Jenny

Welcome Jingle your little ........unfortunately as good as Tom Mitchell is, we have too many now of his type of player

Need midfield marking strength, speed, and good foot skills ......we have inside mids a plenty
I agree we have a few but he could be better than any of them.

No issues with Phil returning.

Fronted the playing group, once in a career opportunity. He was correct as he will never get it again.

As I understand it his relationships here are all in tact. That will happen if you do it the right way.

Trent Croad, in a classic example of Freo's dud trading skills, was drafted by Hawthorn, then traded to Freo for picks 1, 20 and 36 in the 2001 superdraft (which Hawthorn used to draft Hodge and Mitchell), only to get homesick and return to Hawthorn 2 years later for pick 10 in a shit draft.

Freo were by far the worst drafting and trading club in the AFL for at least their first 10 years of existence. I have never seen a club trade every good player they ever got as often as what Freo did.

Isn't Davis and Talia too similar players ??? .......is that a good thing

Now if you could pull off a miracle and trade wright for Tom Mitchell ......now that would be great ..but highly improbable

It's a fair call - they're both relatively young and you would hope more rebound would come. Talia had 7 r50's last weekend so he is developing IMO

Did Rowie also mention something about Ben Kennedy? Has he re-signed yet?

Very happy to see Davis return, no one could blame him for taking the ridiculous $ they offered him. His next contract at GWS will be much much smaller as they have a truck load of future stars who will want their share of the $ next time around.

Ben Kennedy, now there's a talent, come on home boy! and give Eddie the clown prince a equalisation share of the go home factor!

Who wouldn't welcome back davis? (Cost permitting)

He got an offer he couldn't turn down, plus his departure allowed us to get b.crouch and develop arguably the AA fullback in Talia.

I think one of the main points of appeal of Davis would be his on field leadership and organisation, with truck leaving a massive hole in this area.

*still close mates with Danger, might and add that extra 5% likelihood of him sticking around for his career
