Trading Keath was the right decision, based on his demands, and where the team list was at at the time.

Trading Keath for a used packet of chips, on the other hand...

His demands? C’mon

He got a much better offer from a smarter, more successful club that he has well and truly lived up to

There is no way of justifying our idiocy

I'll take your word for it but I thought it was down to Fischer McAsey and Dylan Stephens a month or so out and then in the weel leading into the draft it was touted as almost a certainty we were taking McAsey.

Once Keath got a 4 years offer, we had no power in the trade since the Bulldogs knew this and other clubs wouldn't have offered him 4 years if he went to the PSD. He wasn't contracted and wasn't a FA.

AS CAPT Obvious now that Sloane is injured. We need to make a thorough review of our AFC SANFL top ups in Freeman, Boyle and McKenzie. Then we can broaden our search for the Jun Draft.

Freeman would've come with this very situation in mind, but he wasn't good in his first real game for the 2s last week

Let's be honest Shorty Freeman was awful and the speed he had as an 18 year old draftee looks to have deserted him altogether.

First up after missing a couple of weeks but a very big improvement required for him to be a serious contender in the mid season draft.

Agreed, he was poor even when we were all over Glenelg

Why do we keep selecting Hall? He's a terrible player.

Hinge not straight back into the AFL team after a one week injury?

Disappointing

Especially as it allows us to play Dawson further up the ground where his leg is even more of a weapon delivering I50 and being a goalkicking option.

So the mid we selected with Pick 10 is stuck playing in a forward pocket while we play two top ups on the ball [emoji849]
Sometimes players don't spend all game lining up the position they're named in on Thursday night.

He played a mix of forward and midfield last week in the SANFL but looks to still be om managed minutes....it would seem it's still a fitness issue with Luke.

I'm sure as his fitness builds he'll be introduced to more midfield minutes.

I'm sure Darren Burgess would be having plenty of input into what he's capable of doing fitness wise.

True. However, I see a clear difference between Berry and Pedlar (the Bash Brothers). Berry is an inside accumulator suited to playing on-ball all game. On the other hand, IMO, Pedlar is more suited to playing 50-50 mid/HFF (see Toby Greene), more mercurial with more episodic impact on games. So, I see more HFF in Pedlar, even when deemed completely fit.

Doubt we paid that much draft collateral without our expectation being Pedlar becomes the explosive midfielder we need.

So his fitness is such an issue that he can’t play midfield from the first bounce? Is the warmup just too much for him that he’s then spent and needs to rest in the forward pocket? Glad we spent such a high first rounder on him.

Wouldn’t you want a player with known question marks over his fitness to start on the ball and then go forward once he tires? But we gotta get those minutes in to players not even on our list 🙄
