Triggy was on 5AA this morning

Said Hentschel gone for the year and maybe next year if they find any cruciate damage

Burton is progresing well and is some chacne to play a part in the finals

Bassett has escaped any serious injury and will probably just miss this week

Hart gone for the year.

I really fear for Hentschel's career. That knee just did NOT look good. I would be surprised if there is no ligament damage. It looked far more serious than a reco job.

Hope I am wrong and he gets back to football but that just was a sickening injury to see.

When it happened, was so reminiscent of Hudson last year. He really is our most important forward, similar to Essendon losing Lloyd, or Carlton- Fevola. We have just got to hope there is no ligament damage, because in all honesty the amount of work this guy has put in over the last 24 months to be a star will turn to nothing if he can't play next year.

Agree, Hentchels injury was awful, hope the kids alright :thumbsu:

Its good news that Roo was only out with a virus, not his hammy, or is it a cover up by the AFC???

If it is illness, he will be nice and fresh going into the finals, 2 our of the last 3 games off :thumbsu:

The official injury list on the AFC website also has McLeod listed as 'Test' due to a foot injury.

Anyone know what thats about?

Hope its not the bursa again.

Roo still out; McLeod doubts

afc.com.au
Crows captain Mark Ricciuto, battling a viral illness, is not expected to play this week against Melbourne.

There is also some doubt over Andrew McLeod, who has an infection in the foot operated on last month, while Ben Hart is having further tests and scans on his sore achilles tendon.

And the club will release more information about Trent Hentschel’s serious knee injury later on Monday. He dislocated his right knee in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against Port Adelaide.

Ricciuto, a late withdrawal from the Showdown, did not attend the match and will be kept away from Crows headquarters until there is more information about his illness.

McLeod’s foot became sore after the game and he will be seeing his doctor today.

But Nathan Bassett has recovered well from his heavy knock and should be available this week while Ken McGregor - who has missed two games because of a hamstring strain - and Kris Massie (shin) also are ready to train.

Hayden Skipworth will miss one more game with a hamstring strain

I know. I wasn't having a go at the mods. I was just suggesting that our injury list is so busy it will always be at the top of the page anyway. I'm a witty social commentator, you see. :p

I have to pay more attentions to the smileys !

Yeah, just thought it would be a good idea, so everyone can have a peak at this thread as we enter the finals. Seeing how the injury list is vast, it's pretty much a day by day proposition !

Good news on Bassett, Massie and McGregor.

Roo should be fit for the first final, and if McLeod needs a weekend off he can have it.

All should be fit and primed for the first final.

C'mon boys. :thumbsu:

Exactly...its not like the Melbourne game is ''important'' . What is important is getting players back fit and raring to go.

My idea would be to give everyone a week in the pool ...no trackwork or ballwork apart from working on set plays

INJURIES - baaaad news

McLeod - foot surgery today, to miss four weeks
Hart - achilles strain, to miss four weeks
ricciuto - virus, still unknown exactly what it is - ruled out this week
hentschel - torn ACL, out 12 months

Re: INJURIES - baaaad news

Far out, terrible.

Hentschel only out 12 months now? Better than the 2 years he was rumoured to be missing earlier today. Still shocking news, but I guess better than it could have been.

Macca out 4 weeks? Far out, that is a massive blow. What has exactly happened there?

Well it just gives others a chance to step up. Amazing what some teams do when the pressure builds. Remember we were always a Champion Team...not a team of champions. Go Crows.
