Nathan is a very good smart guy. Tough too but in a different way.

I'm a bit of a Clarkson fan. Passionate, but showed a great sense of perspective after the GF loss to the Swans.

Dave let’s say we start total lock down beginning of April for all of April.

Then all thing being well. It’s back to normal (with closed international borders).

In may or mid May footy hence returns perhaps 1 match in a week then another then with residual fitness returning double up games and season saved

amazing success for Clarkson ofcourse. He’s good to listen too though he umms and ahhhs a lot so once you think of that it stays in your head when he talks.

nathan is probably the most articulate coach.

but a few flags I’d take regardless of levels of Patrick Stewart.

Wasted 5 minutes on a tom morris piece of fluff on the financial standing of all the clubs. Does he get paid for each article? I'll do it for half price. Collingwood is of course, the best placed to survive the virus. Does he ever come over to the West on his AFL travels? The beagles dont even try to promote the club - the wa media does the job. People are in line to become members. It's more likely that the wa parliament will disband than the beagles to fold. The "Magpies is the biggest" myth has been going for years. Im not saying the Pies are in danger but the beagles and the crows have the backing of their state govts.

I guess in times like this, one questions the obscene earnings of rock stars, movie stars and professional sports people vis a vis those who do real good in the community. Let me be clear - this is not a tall poppy/jealousy issue (good luck to them) - that I can assure you. However this lockdown/isolation that we are all going through now confirms that in bringing society back to its most base form, entertainment is not a have to. The world can get by without it.

I personally can't think of one moral justification for AFL players receiving anything more than say $100,000-$150,000 pa during these extraordinary times. But that's me.
