Jesus Christ this is embarrassing.
Adelaide Throws vs Dibber Dobber Cindy, you go to Kindywood is much better :D

Not sure why the concept the Pies players shouldn't have said something is a thing, I would want Crows players calling out that sort of stuff if they heard it.

I can't believe everyone has jumped back on the Pies' bandwagon, they are bloody terrible and will get pumped at AO by ten goals.
Seriously, if they couldn't beat the Crows there with 71 inside 50s a few weeks back they never will
I think people are worried the Crows might tank it for Rankine, even though they probably won't & that would be stupid if they tried to do that imo... but with that fact the Pies have a pretty good record at AO.

Feral Crom attendees will be at their worst. I hope security is beefed up.
Certainly will be.

Need to ensure the Port supporters wearing their temu Collingwood jumpers dont get in.

The IQ level will be lowered enough by Pies supporters attending AO let alone letting the toothless hillbillies from Alberton attending.

I just cant imagine that is even remotely talked about within the club

that would probably mean a prelim in Brisbane without him still...

yeah you don't tank for that kind of pathway

Can’t work out if the Magpies will find some renewed energy after the bye and take it right up to the Crows, or if they’re simply outta gas and were never that good to begin with.

I suspect it might be the former and this could be a nail biter.
I can already read the script. After the rest, the Pies will get out to a flier and lead at quarter time by 15, half time at 30, before the Crows chip away and win by about 10.

You've all lost your minds- Collingwood are easily the worst side in the top 8 and will get hammered by the Crows
I think Adelaide will have a bit too much firepower for Collingwood to handle. Howe is such a huge loss. I know he didn't play in their recent close loss to Adelaide either, but he would've given them a significant boost.

For Adelaide it has been a great season but now the true test begins for them and their first year back in the finals. Adelaide have never beaten Collingwood in a final and currently have less experience than Collingwood who's coach is a 3 time premiership player and they won it all 2 seasons ago. If they can make history and beat the Pies in a final I think they can go all the way in 2025. If they drop the game it is not over, a semi at home and an away preliminary final against Geelong or Brisbane where they will start as underdogs but for sure will give it their best.

Adelaide did beat Collingwood in a surprise result a few weeks ago despite struggling at times but the defensive game held up very well. But this is a final and this is a true test for them. I think Collingwood are the slight favorites here based on experience, their record at Adelaide Oval and in finals overall. It feels like a Brisbane 2019, great regular season but finals is a whole new test.

Hopefully this season is the first of many steps forward for Adelaide, no whining if it is a failure. Keep fighting year after year (Brisbane 2019 onwards) and good things may happen.

This seems right. Pies and Crows has been tight for the last few years but the Pies keep snatching the wins.

There are different strengths and weaknesses (eg Crows can actually chew their food) but there isn't an obvious difference in quality of lists, the difference must be psychological.

Crows finally broke the duck a fortnight ago, and that must have taken a weight off their shoulders regardless of the (over inflated) Rankine stuff. Win again and the self belief would skyrocket.

If we win it has the weight of a machine clicking into gear "yep finals, its what we do".

We had the Crows on toast last time and could not dispatch them, and they were cool enough to stick to the plan. Nicks seems a pretty cool customer, its a pretty good sign when the team reflects the coach's values.

Normally we are nerveless in a tight finish as we showed vs Melbourne, so I think both sides are (as usual) well matched, but Adelaide have broken their hoodoo so might be more than 50/50.

You'd think so, but Collingwood can strangle you, and they did it to the Crows last time. I get the feeling if the Crows break their rigid structure, it will crumble like a gingerbread house: rigid but weak and fragile, which is something I've thought of for awhile, and the dam wall will break. In that case they'll win big, 40+.

If Collingwood somehow win it won't be by much.

Yeah we don't really defend in the defence. H&A we play a few systems, but always the high press, and in finals we attempt to control the guts.

What has their recent form H2H against each other been like? How many games were decided by over 10 points in let's say the last 6 games?

It's a tough matchup for both of them. It'll be a lot closer than you think if history is anything to go by.

Last time Adelaide beat Collingwood big 40+ was 20 years ago in 2005. A very rare occurence.

I'd guess it will be close as per recent history.

H2H record in finals:
  • PF (2002) = Collingwood 91-63 Adelaide
  • EF (2008) = Adelaide 94-125 Collingwood
  • SF (2009) = Collingwood 83-78 Adelaide
Collingwood leads the H2H record 3-0.

Which is relevant to this game how.....?

Oh that's right - it's TOTALLY ****ing IRRELEVANT!

Good posting.
