Pies by 65.
Dees checked out for the season after Gunston took May to the cleaners 5 minutes into the game.
They had their token response against the Dogs the week before.

one is hopefully the Dee's put there all in to this to finish there season...
unlikely but one never knows!

Would rather Goodwin have been there for this one. Having a caretaker coach makes this game massively dangerous. The guy is going to want to impress and show that he can coach. He'll be going hard for the win, regardless that Melbourne will jump up 2 spots and finish 12th. Watch Melbourne play their guts out for worse draft pick.

I just hope to god the people above give him orders to drop a whole lot of big name players, and Mr Caretaker is left with a bunch of spuds and rabble.

Sorry everyone but we will lose by 60+. I’d love to help them drop out of the top 4 but it ain’t going to happen 😩

Collingwood are just making up the numbers in September regardless, just depends whether they go out week 1 or they stumble into the top 4 and go out in straight sets.
List in dire need of a rebuild but they seem to want to roll out these old blokes again in 2026.

Was at the same game in 2018?? where the Pies win knocked the Dees out of the finals. Pies can't miss out, but Melbourne could put a dent in their finals aspirations. Melbourne by 18.

Our 1st round draft pick next year belongs to Essendon - so happy to improve position to make their pick worse.

DL.

Ed in his most recent footy on nine podcast suggests Pies forward line is too beige and needs to be more exotic. He then goes on to talk about missing B. Hill.

He's right in that the Pies forward line needs more dynamism and style variety and options. But does he have to couch it in those terms?

I doubt Dees backline can confound Pies forwards like Crows did, so they should find scoring easier this week. Steve May looked a liability last week.

With continued poor Dees kicking, I doubt they can score much to bother Pies.

I wonder who Pies will be resting this week, they need to be careful not to damage the in field connection.

Dees are in a lot better form than the pies so I reckon they just take care of them this week by a couple of goals.

Pies to finally steak their claim looking at a say 35 point win tonight.
Dry deck dry conditions.
Bit of a blowy breeze.
Sets it up for the Pies forwards to finally click into gear.
Should win by say 6-7 goals tonight Pies.
