I think I know why I love living in Melbourne so much and going to Crows games at the MCG and Docklands...

I don't have to sit with Crows supporterss

grow up

It was a positive announcement today, then the power supporter comes in with 2 negative views on it, 1. Why so long? 2. Why Bob Hammond?

That doesn't add anything, it's aimed to stir shit.

I will give the poster credit, least he/her posted under his/her Power account and not their phoney crows account. My main issue is with the ridiculous amount of phoney crows posters on here.

We've (finally) named our race

The original post by a Crows Supporter said "(finally)"

1. Sorry I should've asked "Why announce it coming into Round 17" but Tex Danger's point on avoiding the allegations of copying Port is fair enough. Thanks for your sensible discussion Tex. Edit: And as pointed out above I was responding to the poster's reference of "finally".
2. Re-read my second point: "Are you happy with the choice", NOT "Why Bob Hammond". Very different questions.

The question from the Power supporter would be fine if they weren't over on the Port Power board earlier in the day having a joke about it with his fellow bandwagoners.

Anyway its just a race, not everything needs a precisely timed live streamed press conference from the MCG or whatever else.

Anyone used a taxi after a night game yet? Best spot? Easy/hassle?

I'd suggest the casino.

Cars can not drive along King William Street after the game, so you best bet would be up to North Adelaide (O'Connell Street) or over the bridge to the casino.

There is a taxi rank on Morphett St just before the bridge as well. I only know this because I offered to pick a friend up from the ballet on Friday and forgot the Port game was on. Ugh.

Spot on - they resemble a 3 ring circus, def don't want my club media whoring in a way they do.

Sorry mate but after what you have already said on your board it's quite clear what your intentions were in posting here, you're not fooling anyone, you flog.

"After the Crows didn't even think to name their race in time for the start of the season, they then took 17 weeks to come up with "The Bob Hammond Race". The Oval is now complete! haha"

Why so long? Why Bob Hammond?

Tell me in what way are these two questions inherently negative?

I don't care what they wrote on the Port board, if anyone else asked the same two questions, you wouldn't have thrown a tantrum like an 8 year old

The poster has lost the benefit of the doubt with their comments on the power board, they have shown their hand.

Read what was posted on their board points 1 and 2 were both made in a negative light there, then the poster came here and repeated these comments but re-worded it, wake up, jeez.

I don't have a victim mentality.

I took his questions at face value. Don't give a f*ck what they write on the Port board.

Whole lot of precious sooks with their jimmies constantly rustled on this board

Yeah so I thought the timing and the naming of an administrator was funny, big deal! Then I wondered what the people who are meant to care about it thought. I'll leave you in your little world of insularity where everyone wears blinkers and ear plugs to block out the big bad world of diverse opinions, and humour. Seeya.

Super quick response - cheers Gets!

And a good response too, I agree, if there was gonna be an issues they would have happened at the Showdown.

Thanks for the help.
I've been to GWS, Collingwood and North on the hill. Some drunken North supporters carried on a bit, but the overall feeling was fun and good natured at all these games.
