Cheers thanks heaps for that. That is seriously impressive stuff. Based on what you have been able to tell us, im almost certain it has passed everyones expectations.

I dont like to get ahead of my self but this game sounds promising. You guys deserve a lot of credit for reaching out to the public for ideads/feedback etc.
 
There are still probably are couple of features that need to be implemented and some things that need to be tweaked

We will keep polishing and tweaking until we're told to stop.

Can you give out any details on when BigAntStudios will release information about the game on there website, and even possibly a release date?

At the moment the *only* place you will find info is here - I like the interaction and feedback we are getting, it is making the game better and validating some of the decisions made.

Speckies. Will they look realistic, and will there be different types? One thing that shit me in the old games is that I could never take a specky an the other team would take 3 or 4 a game. The opposition player would also take the specky magically on air and the ball would gravitate into their hands.

Hope it's not the case in this.
 
I Understand if i dont get a reply but was wondering if players are able to really launch at the footy. Not so much a speccy but just a really strong pack mark. Cheers, lovin the info
 
Is the draft going to be realistic in terms of names/attributes? I just came across a Llane Didak in AFL 07

Played through 5 seasons of AFL 2006 over the last two nights after work, ended up with a team consisting of 9 Abletts (Gary, Nathan & Luke + 6 from the draft.), 5 Monfries' (Angus + 4 from the Draft), 5 Lonie's (Nathan & Ryan + 3 from the draft & 5 Selwood's (Adam & Troy + 3 from the Draft). Those are just the cases where I ended up with 5 or more of the same unique surname on my list, had quite a few cases of 2 or 3 random players sharing current players surnames also.

As you can see, I was very, very bored and went with the Port recruiting frame of mind haha.

Didn't turn out too well though, as all draftees in the old AFL games were terrible, majority of my players were rated about 50/100. :p

I held R1, R2, L1, L2 when the ball is high in the air and your at the back to specky. Also asking this question ^^ Are there speckies?

Also can we expect a team management for the Exhibition/Play Now matches?

Will the regular Play now matches have full customisation over time of day, venue, match lineups, weather effects, quarter length etc. Also can regular players be edited in the player editor?

Will you see players get injured and hobble off with the trainers?

Will you believe its not Butter?

Apart from the obvious TJ snippet, I will make the next snippet a marking contest.

Regular play will have all the features you mention (weather being rain/shine)

Regular players cannot be edited, sorry.

You can create your own team, own players, and own comp. That's all the detail I can give right now btw - saves follow up posts :) )

I wonder how that would work though, whether you can use them in season mode and if so, whether you'd have to replace one of the 16 teams to have them in (if so, goodbye Fremantle! :p) Or alternatively if one of the comps you can create is a 17 or 18 team league.

Either way I'm excited to find out as I presume you can't answer that. Thanks Ross :thumbsu:
 
So when it comes to creating leagues can you import other teams and create some of your own? For example, a league of say my mates, Melbourne, Essendon and Collingwood.

And then how do the fixtures work? Do you have preset fixtures for a 5 team league? (for example)
