It is coming out later on PC to try and reduce piracy.

I have it on PS3 and I love it.

I played it last night. First thoughts were that it's around the level if FIFA 08 if you can follow that. Glitchy but fun, some plays where you kick to guys on the lead look great and obviously like real footy. Marking is pretty iffy, tackling is fairly stupid as you can't really break them.

I also noted that what the game needs is a "stoppage mode".. the game of AFL basically works in and outside stoppages and they should reflect this in the game, bring the camera down and have a different control method to get the ball out of the congestion. If you've played the previous games you'll instantly think this as still, a big problem is losing the tap and how hard it is to stop the opposition (human) if they win the tap and clearance.

Looks like shit and wont be wasting my money.

It's a vicious cycle of a problem.

BIG money needs to be invested to make the game genuinely good, but the market is too small to ever recoup that investment.

So we're basically doomed to shitty AFL games forever, unless Richard Branson is happy to throw money in and claim it as a tax write off because he wont get that money back.

Hold triangle to break tackles. Pretty awesome having Kreuzer palm it down to Gibbs defensive side of the circle, have Gibbs shrug off two tackles and kick it forward.

I think it looks good and I will buy it as soon as possible. Reviews have impressed me. I think if you don't have your expectations too high and stop comparing it to FIFA or whatever then you will enjoy it.

Logged onto the EB website yesterday and it had "Available now" clicked it "Available 21st" which confused me a bit, retailing at around 110 through EB games.

Will wait for it to come down in price, or come out on PC which will no doubt be cheaper.

The AFL games tend to be mediocre so im not willing to spend 100 bucks on it at the moment.

That being said I watched it being played in store and it looks pretty good, however gameplay seems to be very centric to goal kicking and other parts of the game look like they suffer (as mentioned before no 'clearance mode' etc).
