AFL Reserves System

Hey guy's, was just interested to see what your thoughts are about the Reserves setup. There has been talk about a revamp in the system which in my opinion would be a good idea.

Your thoughts would be great.

Personally, i would much rather the Affiliate system stayed, but the teams affiliated were entered into a national competition, with their reserve sides becoming the senior side in the relevant leagues. That would mean that the VFL would effectively become a One-division league, but would not see its death, as the relevant sides would still be playing in the suburbs. Eg. Box Hill Hawks vs Port Adelaide Magpies @ City Oval. Curtain raiser - Box Hill Hawks vs ......... See my point?

I would love to see it go back to some form of reserves comp, but vic teams is probs only suitable ones. ideally i wuld also love to see the VFL come back to the good old days as i used to love going and watching Willy play, but these days its pretty much collingwood seconds down there
