What's stopping us from challenging?

Losing the early plea discount which probably means he gets 2 weeks if challenge fails. Can't risk that with Hawthorn next week.

Stupid act by Scarlo, we really needed him available this week. Our senior players need to be more disciplined with this sort of stuff.

oh well, we can get a look at what next years backline might look like....

maybe, and following on from Bartels enforced rest, they've thrown out General Soreness and when it's your turn you make someone pay for it? Just a theory.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Essendon Football Club, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a level two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of five matches suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 50 per cent to 187.50 points and a one-match sanction. He also has 33.52 demerit points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 221.02 points and a two-match sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 165.77 points and a one-match sanction.

The loading from round 1 is what really hurts the points here. Can't risk challenging.

Stupid. Not that you wish misfortune on anyone but you really hope Tippett doesn't play now or we will be very stretched down back.

All indications are that Tippett is very unlikely to play us. I don't think we need another tall defender in, Lonergan and Taylor are both in great form and without Tippett (hopefully) the Crows' tall forwards don't look that imposing.

IN: Bartel, Christensen
OUT: Scarlett, Sheringham

We pretty much always go in with 3 KPD though so I think we will bring in Gillies or Brown (I prefer the latter). Still have Walker and Jenkins to cover plus whoever they replace Tippett with.

Although could we not just send Walker back (assuming Pods is available). He's played well so I'd like to keep him in.

I don't have the stats handy but it seems that the Hawk has been playing better with the jPod on the sidelines.

That aside, this 2012 Geelong side are a few shades better with a fit & effective jPod in the side. If available (that means fit) he is a must at CHF. He breaks the packs, disrupts the defence and brings our forward ground players into the game.

Im not sure how many seasons he has left but while (if) he remains close to his 2011 form he is a lock-in.

Hawk should continue his 2012 form irrespective of jPods return. Confidence maketh the man. Walker may have to wait just a little longer.

I've searched for footage because on the night i slowed it down and it looked as though no contact was made to the head.

Is there any footage of the incident available.

I would rather Pods go back and beat up on some VFL players to get some form back.

Hawk plays shitloads better without him getting in the way.

Walker can go back if need be, but he and Hawk are working well in tandem. The only knock is his goal kicking but his defensive pressure is second to none.

Forgot about Bundy. He should come straight back in with Jimmy, but Sheringham is quick and we need his pace and defensive pressure. He would be extremely stiff to get dropped.

There is footage. It looks like a backhanded swipe. Little impact, Dell'Olio fell like a little bitch but the look on Scarlo's face, you could tell it was no accident.

Love the bloke but really sick of seeing this sort of shit from senior players.

Especially when we start to look like doing some damage.

I'll be more honest. Sick of this shit from HIM!

Want to recap?

Round 2, 2010 - Kneeing Osborne. Suspended.
Round 1, 2011 - Hitting Riewoldt. Suspended.
Round 1, 2012 - Hitting Ballantyne. Suspended, as well as costing us the match.

Now, a mere 4 months later, he gets suspended AGAIN? Absolutely unforgivable. I don't care who he is. Scott said he'd be amazed after the Ballantyne suspension if he had a problem with Scarlett for the rest of his career. Be very interesting to see what happens.

Sorry, he's just lost some respect with me. This just is not good enough by a senior player. It hurts the side and costs us games (as it already has and will do again).

Shit.
