Also have list sizes increased? We're currently at 28 on the back of that.

Due to the compromised nature of this year’s draft, there is no minimum on the number of list spots needed for it. Clubs can even opt out of it entirely if they fill their list beforehand.

So chances are we only end up using one or two picks.

Sure, but I thought max size was 27, or was it 27 + 2 rookies? We'll be at 25 + 3 rookies if they count as Cat B.

If this eventuates it will be spectacular list management. Dayna Finn is an international basketballer and star of the Gaelic game. Might be tucked away in the bowels of the article, but huge news. The Irish have performed superbly in AFLW. She is ~173cm, so is a great size. Erone Fitzpatrick is a fleet footed play maker and finisher, regularly hitting the scoreboard.

We need our key officials, but our recruiting is certainly going well. We have drafted well, just experienced player retention issues. We have some great kids. This can be turned around quickly.

Edit: Have to love auto correct, sorry “Ernie”

We do love a basketballer. Kez, Good, Ortlepp, Mua…

Cheers for the intel on the Irish girls! Keen to see what they can do.

With the issues she has had a change of scenery might be the best thing for her
And we get screwed in another trade? No thanks. We gave her time, and we got rid of the bloke who was screwing her over in terms of preferred position.

We cannot afford to take another hit at the trade table.

You absolute clowns. Retain Gibbs... she's our best KPF prospect by far.

Geez, calm down. There is such a thing as free will. Do you want to pay her top tier based on potential? She's done nothing so far.

Mia Austin is our best KPF prospect by far IMO.

This PSP/Trade period has become an unseemly distasteful list dilution league wide. No club has been safe. The Band-Aid has been ripped off.

Having said that. Go Blues!

How are we still bleeding players? FMD

Interesting that Read went to Freo in the first place... did she only nominate WA and was resultantly top 10ish in her draft pool, or?

Gibbs is no real loss, not going to lose any sleep over that one.
Now we're kicking to a 37 year old, yipee

And Austin, Milford, Good

The Good strategy is about the same as the Pittonet strategy, you're asking too much.

Milford has physically regressed in her time at the club and is odds on to get delisted now or after the season. Austin has promise but needs to seriously train, all while coming back from an ACL.

So that leaves Ortlepp and McWilliams. A hard call needed to be made, and it looks like we didn't make it, so off Gibbs went on minimum chips. Lovely!

Gibbs played down back last season and there is no indication that was going to change.

We did draft a very promising key forward last year, and you’d have to expect her to feature prominently.

But yeah, doom and gloom!

Gibbs came with some hype, sat out a season, and her performances to date are no better, arguably worse than all of Austin, Milford, Good, McWilliams and Ortlepp. We also have the option of playing one B.Moody for some decent minutes up forward if needed. I am really not feeling any regret that Gibbs has chosen to leave.

Aside from losing Lucy McEvoy this has been a positive period. If the Irish girls join up, it will be a massive win. Whoever is calling the shots is doing well with a compromised draft approaching and our list dynamic.

Genuinely tired of the football club failing to really develop anyone personally or professionally, then opting to discard people and rubbish them... now I'm seeing a clear trend of it in both sets of leagues. I've already made the points many times before, so I'll just leave it there.
