Richardson - S.Black - J.Bartel

Riewoldt - Franklin - Didak

Medhurst - Fevola - Akermanis

Hille - Ablett - Cooney

B.Harvey, Cox, S.Mitchell, Kirk

Okeffe and Murphy at least one will make it as they are actual HFFlankers but i couldnt fit them in.

THOUGHTS!

Good effort, but anyone who puts Heath Shaw in their team hasn't seen him play this season. He is playing like a hack this year. Has had 4 good games at most.

another couple of great games from riewoldt will probably push him in!

no faults in that team at all

Swap Judd for Akermanis.

I didn't think I was going to be biased going into this but I think I was. 8 Cats. Chapman & Harley might be a bit of a stretch but going by statistics Chapman is neck'a'neck with Didak and he's had as much impact. Harley having his best year of his career.

B: Darren Milburn - Matthew Scarlett - Sam Fisher

INT: David Hille - Chris Judd - Simon Black - Matthew Richardson

Robert Murphy IMO has been consistent and he seems like the guy that selectors would favour. Didak was unlucky, as was Andrew Mackie. Jonathan Brown has faded alot and Riewoldt will push him out if he continues his form. (No Guarantees haha)

Justify why Lake is at full- back. Give me the criteria you have utilised to place him ahead of a number of other FB' let alone Scarlett. I just find this mind boggling, and I want to get to the bottom of what is going through some people's minds.

The fact you've got Bryce Gibbs and Campbell Brown in as well as 4 KP power forwards suggests you are either taking the piss or don't watch a great deal of football.

Ok people, lets look at the shoe ins, IMO

N.Bock - Has become an A grade key back
Akermanis - Has not played like this since his AA/Brownlow years with the lions.
G.Ablett - Is one of the favorites come brownlow night,
B.Harvey - See above
J.Bartell - See above
M.Pavlich - One of few shining lights in, some what a dismal season.
May surprise some people, but S.Johnson - Is playing just aswell this year if not better than last year,
R.O'Keefe - Is the best hit up, 3rd tall forward in the game.
Riewoldt - Career best form, winning games finally,
Cox - Is still dominating with a broken foot (am not sure on the extent of the injury) Hille has been good but, cox has been good over an extended period of time.

Players to discount.

H.Shaw - Pies up, shaw up, pies down, shaw down.
B.Lake - Someone has already metnioned this, but is struggling to handle the power forwards.
Didak - Is not too bad, but their are better players out their, IMO

A few iffy players:
Medhurst - Has finally being hitting heights that was once placed on him,
Judd - Awesome when he has played, but not sure if he has been up to it all year.
Hille - Yes AA over the past 6 weeks, their have been 17 weeks to date,
Sandilands - Yes he gets 'hitouts' but why not to advantage, soes he really hold his own around the ground like a Hile or Cox, no not really,
Petrie - For mine, the best utility in the game, works around the ground aswell as being able to play in multiple postions.
Just a few players to think about.

Thoughts::

You can't say Bock is a certainty and not Scarlett. Scarlo's undoubtedly been the best defender of 2008.

takes the cake

Didak, Steve Johnson>Medhurst any day. O'Keefe has been inconsistent this year, hitting an awesome purple patch at the moment but has he been consistent enough? I don't think so.

Heath Shaw would be very lucky, had a pretty bad season. Sam Fisher and Andrew Mackie would have to be in front of him as rushing backs.

heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...we got a new one.

The "rushing back" !!..its here !!..its now !!..its a happening thing and i luv it.

We can add that to "loose man across halfback", "playmaker", "attacking defender", " quarterback", "sweeper" and all the others.

I still prefer

"the bloke we call a Half Back Flanker that gets a shitload of cheapies, runs it out of defence and drops back into the hole when it comes back in hard and fast "

...otherwise known as "doing a Heath Shaw"
