No where near a lock for the squad of 40 - hasn't played enough. Mackenzie, Hooker and Talia are the only KPD locks.

How is Talia in so many AA teams? Elite 1 on 1 defender but that's it.

I value team defense as well when it comes to a defender being AA and Adelaide has been a sieve this year.

Talia is also regularly unsighted as a link out of defense that the Scott Thompson, Cale Hooker and Eric McKenzie also deliver as elite defenders.

Talia is talented 1 on 1 but an AA defender requires more than that.

Alex Rance is the best defender in the AFL by a ridiculous margin.

Right now he would be in the mix for sure, but you have to do it over an entire year and he hasn't done that yet. Last year he faded without Grimes' support. This year crueled by injury for the first half. If he and Grimes play injury free for a year I'd wager he makes the squad next year.

Can you explain why?

I just can't see anymore than a talented shut-down player spoiler. He's cleaned up quite a few elite forwards but the team is ranked 12th in points against and he provides little rebound play.

I'd have Cale Hooker, Scott Thompson, Eric McKenzie, Harry Taylor and maybe Michael Johnson in the AA team before him.

That does not leave room for Talia. Good defender, not AA.

One of Lynch's goals was kicked on McGovern and another on Wilson.

Getting one goal kicked on him in a high scoring game stands him in good stead to be locked into AA I would've though.

Think most would disagree with you. Lots of the media praising his form. The issue is only his games missed, missing 6 games makes it tough but his form has easily been good enough.

I have Rance equal third. If the AA selection panel opt for a third tall back I'm not sure who they'd go for between Talia or Rance.

It's the AA thread mate and the current discussion is about the KPD inclusions and since there are really only 4-5 candidates, it's perfectly understandable that Rance is being frequently mentioned.
