Has this not been done or am I suffering from a severe form of Male Domestic Blindness?

+ We won and increased our %, probably by as much as necessary.

+ I thought that was Kennedy's best marking game for a long time. He's been receiving quality delivery of late and grassing a few. I thought his hands were very good and so was his kicking at goal.

+ Mark LeCras. G-U-N. Even seemed to tackle with a bit of intent.

+ The Galloping Colossus. I thought he rucked very well against good opposition.

- It looks like we may be getting some important players back from injury. But how many can we bring back in 1 week?

- It wasn't a 4 quarter performance.

- Hutchings seems to have tweeked a hammy

Biggest positive is that we are playing well as a team and have finally settled on a gameplan that is making most use of our players skills.

I did get a real kick out of seeing Jamie Bennell manhandle Jack Watts and outmark him on several occassions.

Pros

Defensive pressure in the first half

Our forwards

Bennell v. Watts. Gave me many lols, proves Simmo has a sense of humour.

Lycett keeps getting better, the kid is so agile

Big INs next week

Cons

Those last quarter fades (again)

Our inside midfielders not being able to break the Dees tags

Should be sitting on 118% not 115%

Having to pay attention to the Ade v. Saints match today....

The spreading of the goals in the fwd line Kennedy ,Darling ,Lecras,Hill and Cripps was good to have a lot of options in form.
The Sheed lace at ball delivery to Kennedy and then Lecras .
Was good to see Gaff break a tag
Cox being sent out with style by the fans

Neg

Losing the last quarter
Injury to Hutchy
Collingwood winning

I fell asleep and didnt see the last quarter but I thought we were pretty insipid anyway and really pretty flat. I hope it doesnt put us in a lazy frame of mind for next week.

We did win by enough to sneak in if things go our way so still some excitement in watching the last few games. It's too hard to judge players when we play Melbourne..they seem to drag us down to their level and the games are terrible. We shoulda smashed them by 150.

I wish that game was today so all these numbers would stop flying around in my head.

I'm holding onto some ludicrous hope that St Kilda will shock Richmond like they did to Freo, or maybe they'll do it to Adelaide for Lenny's last game.

On last night's game, I think we need to put the margin into perspective. I think we did well to win by 11 goals - Melbourne have only been beaten by 10+ goals 3 times this season: 93pts (v WCE R2), 66pts (v GEEL R12), 64pts (v GWS R21). It would've been nice to win the last quarter by 2-3 goals and win by 80+, but imagine the reaction if we only won by 5 goals.

I think that should be enough. Adelaide have to beat St Kilda by about 80 more than we beat Gold Coast by (assuming we do). St Kilda won't want to be thumped in Lenny's last game - look at what they did against Freo when he announced his retirement.

Same..it's all over the place this year so I'm full of confidence..still spinning a bit actually that we are even in this position to possibly make finals, its pretty funny.

Adelaide play Saints next week

I honestly dont think we won by enough. crows only need to win by 80 ish to go through and I expect them to pump the saints and keep their score low. If crows win by 80 and keep saints to below 50 and we win 100 to 90 were pretty much cooked. Our ÷ actually goes down in that scenario. We let melb get some cheapies really needed to keep them to 5 goals

- Twas a pretty dull and boring game after the 1st quarter.
- Darling always looks like he's going to kick a bag(5 in first half vs bulldogs) yet always fades and has never kicked more the 5.
- The fact we couldn't capitalize on a golden opportunity to boost our much important percentage. Weren't ruthless enough and hungry enough for finals.
- Priddis's performance under his first tag was very average.
- Cox's last performance at home wasn't a particularly memorable one.

+ Really liked some of Lycetts ruckwork. Just the fact he actually leaps straight up at the ball and doesn't try to block his opponent (ala cox) is nice
+ Lecras getting on the board with some deserved goals. Got plenty of it in the guts but i didn't think he was all that 'effective' in there.
+ Shueys first half, without a tag was really impressive.
+ Mastens ability to find space. Disposal wasn't up to his usual standards though.
+ Cripps was a big one for me. 4QT effort of chasing, tackling and setting up goals. Really impressed me these last few weeks.
+ Govs kicking. Seems like such a natural. Few sluggish defensive efforts, but his offensive work was really great.
+ Kennedy's set shot conversion rate

Pros
Masten disposal was very good a great few weeks he is putting together !

Gaff couldn't get much ball on the outside so worked his way into the game with tackling and inside work . 7 tackles 6 clearances . Few turnovers only negitive.

Lecras = gun we need him in the forward line and midfield . Please clone

Hill/cripps great working in combo with Lecras . Hill defensive work much better and is good working up the ground and kicking I50 .

Lycetts work around the ground ! So much potential .

Priddis drew the hard tag off shuey .

Hurn in the midfield ! Love it

Our run and kicking out of defence ! Bennell , McGovern , schofield , butler all seem to be executing the new game plan very well .

Sheeds kicking was very good once he got some time and space . Just needs more outside ball .

Cons
Poor last quarter again !

Beaten in contested possession again ! When will selwood and Yeo be back ?

Bennell :( how is he can beat watts but poor defensively against someone his own size !

MaGinnity GTFO your last 3 weeks have been worse than shit . If your not shutting someone down we have no use for you

Shuey please stop drawing high frees it shits me !

I was pretty happy with the way carter played, coming in for his first game of the year and not looking out of place.

Didn't think he did much at all. Was pretty much invisible. 9 disposals at 86% time on ground.

If we win 100-90 and Adelaide win 120-40, we'll still go through.

Pros

Defensive pressure in the first half

Cons

...

Same pattern against the jabbers last week. We have limited mids available and keep losing a runner early - this is a factor. I just wonder if our early pressure is taxing and we need another pre season to carry four quarters.

PROS
- Le Cras was great.
- Cripps and Hill both provided a lot, Hill in particular pressured and tackled like a man possessed. Retain.
- Shuey continued his rich vein of form.
- Darling's first quarter.
- Lycett was excellent around the ground.
- Seemed to rely on Priddis less this week.

CONS
- Such a disappointing last quarter; goodbye finals?
- Thought Cox was really average - I think it'd be very silly and overly sentimental if he is still in the team next week.
- Kennedy dropped another couple of chest marks last night, has become a weekly aspect of his game this year.
- Letting Fitzpatrick kick two goals, gross.
- Darling's kicking after the first quarter, should have kicked 5/6.

Exactly,he was playing as a small lock down defender so the fact that you didn't notice him means he was probably doing his job and keeping his opponent out of the play as well. Would be nice if he could run off his opponent and get big numbers like he does in the WAFL, but seeing as it was his first game back for the season he probably didn't have the confidence to do that just yet. That will come with time though. Wasn't an amazing game, but he played his role pretty well.

How many decimal places do we go to? It could be that close
In that scenario, it would be 114.53 to 114.27. But if Adelaide kicked another 5 points, they would go ahead 114.531 to 114.535.

He won't keep his place in the team and he might not even keep his place on the list. He is fighting for his career and i'm not sure he did enough.

-23 at half time. Finished the game at -13. Against the team 17th on the ladder. We got away with it because Melbourne's skills are so poor they kept giving the ball back to us.
If we put up the same numbers against Swallow/Prestia/O'Meara next week we will lose. Simple as that.

No guts no glory. If Yeo and Selwood are both passed fit then I'd play both against the Suns. Maybe have Yeo as the sub.

Agree with all of this.
