What do we do? Im almost sure its that he doesn't care enough. Ive always held high hopes but im belatedly off the band wagon. Recruited as a midfielder, has his best 2 pre-seasons and does nothing in the midfield. Also does nothing up forward. I guess he could have a run as a back pocket. If that fails he can become a full time night club bunny.

********.

We were semi-competitive until he gave that goal away, at least we won't have to worry about dropping him for next week, the tribunal will do it for us.

The least he could have done is get a bit of the ball after that, but nothing.

over him, he'll be an Al Bundy in 20 years. selling shoes and going on about his brilliant footballing career at high school

He's an average plodder who is undisciplined both on and off the field.

I don't care if he was picked at #3, he's average. Trade bait at years end. If we could get a pick in the top 40 for him, we'd be laughing!

Trade him if he doesn't improve.

Sure, we can't expect a #3 like star of the comp but we should at least be able to expect a decent midfielder/half-forward flank.

I really think he should be dropped indefinetely. See how much spirit he really has to prove his worth at a senior spot again. I think after 5 years we've had a good look at him, its time to cut our losses and play another kid. Someone with at least a finger nail of passion would be better than having him on the ground at the moment. It pains me so much cuz we all know how good he can be. Just another lazy cupido clone.

I've been waiting and making excuses for Col for so long but I've just about lost hope. There isn't really even the glimmer of him coming good anymore. He doesn't really look like he knows where to be to get the footy either in the forwardline or the midfield and definately doesn't appear to have the work ethic to make anything happen. Unfortunately I'm not sure dropping him is getting the message through either.

We were semi-competitive until he gave that goal away, at least we won't have to worry about dropping him for next week, the tribunal will do it for us.

If he gets rubbed out for that then the game has completed it's transition to a non-contact sport. Weak. He far more deserves the indignity of being dropped.

The more we play the IDIOT the more his value drops. We might get a late 3rd round for him.

People always say he is such a waste of talent, yet i have never seen any talent!

I really have no idea how he was included in the best on afl.com.au, he lacked any sort of intensity or desire, skirted around packs looking for cheap possessions and only accumulated 14 disposals. I just can't comprehend the thought process of the individual who decided to include him in the best.

Atm, Im just happy to see Sylvia string games together, he done
some good things yesterday - but does lack work ethic and passion.

But, its too early in the season to be completely dismissing Sylvia.
It was reported that he has a decent pre-season and his best since
he has been drafted, so Id like to give him a full year in the midfield.

But, expectations would be high, top 5 finish in our B and F - or out
the door...

Im more worried about Brocks form atm..

Sylvia has been too slow for AFL from day one. Physically and mentally. Superb skills, good goal sense, schoolboy hero. But no development. 2003 we got him. Time to go.

Mclean, though not quick, is an ace player. He'll come good quicksmart.

He needs a change of scenery, send him up to the GC.

:thumbsu:

He wont need to waste his 'hard earned' cash on the the bleach or fake tan hes been using when he goes.

And he'll have plenty of people to hit at Cavill Ave come schoolies time.

He got off his report.

The contact was also below that required to constitute a reportable offence and it was the view of the panel the Port Adelaide player accentuated the contact. No further action was taken.

That's a selection headache then.

melbourne should try to get a trade out of him cos hes no good for them, all he cares about is himself and doesnt care about the team

dam i didnt see this weeks game but thought against the pies he was pretty good for us, especially in the first quarter when he actually had a chance because the ball didnt get butchered in the midfield... he was hard at it, took a couple of great grabs and looked good...

i think he needs to be chucked into the middle more because we just dont seem to use him there... and you cant get all over him for only having 14 touches... he is playing in a foward line which is almost impossible to do much in at the moment due to the way we use the footy in the middle... give him a few weeks, hes only had 2 games and still is not our worst... he was probably pretty much our centre half foward at the w/e im guessing...
