Society/Culture Anthony Mundine Makes Racist Comment About Jeff Horn

I didn't read Mundine statement as racist toward horn but more a whinge about why the public and media never loved him, and saying we didn't love him was because he is black. The reason we don't like you Mundine is that your public statements are often full of dumb floggery

He's not just talking about himself when he mentions media treatment of black people tho is he.

Its obvious the media and public don't love him, maybe partly because because he is black but mostly cos he is black and doesn't kow tow to white kulture. He's "uppity". And tougher than most people. Like Ali he is outspoken and physically strong and could knock most of his detractors out in a second or two. Its been his outspoken nature over his entire sporting career that has put him at odds with "most right thinking Australians" but most of what he has said has been fair and accurate even if its clumsy and poorly articulated. I can think of three things he's said that are ****ed, two of them are the result of religious bigotry and one was a bit over the top and could have come from Andrew Bolt. But he was already hated before he said that stuff. (Everything else, even what he said about 9/11, is either accurate or hype regarding fights and he was already pretty unpopular before he started boxing.)

Adam Goodes copped the same thing after he started speaking out about the glaring obvious and being uppity as well.

Allocated slots at uni and quotas in the public service

Unis offer places to ANY student at discounted ATARs if they are from particular socio-economic groups.

They do this because the EVIDENCE shows students from these socio economic groups have significant enough hurdles that impede their ability to make it to uni in the first place.

Uni quotas and scholarships and additional back door entrance, apprenticeship benefits, employment in mining with no qualification to fill quotas (ie on the job training), increased benefits for studying away from home either tafe of uni.

Can you name these programs and the specific companies and numbers involved?

Funny isn't it. Always grew up with indigenous people saying that no one can own the land, they are just custonians of it. Then $$ got involved and now they are suddenly land owners. The power of the almighty dollar to change cultures.

What you are talking about is fiat money.
For millennia indigenous folk have sought permission from the custodians of the land in order to go about their business.
A thousand years ago there was no such thing as a dollar.
In essence what they have always had is a free trade agreement, sans the dollars.

Ok, so how did being a custonian transform to owning the land?

If you want to argue semantics...
1. Technically, they don't own the land. Native title does not grant ownership.
2. Ownership, in the economic sense, is defined by exclusive use.
3. Native Title does NOT grant exclusive use.
4. The indigenous folk DID NOT invent the concept of Native Title, Native Title is a European concept.
5. The indigenous folk transformed to "owning" the land by virtue of the High Court's interpretation of their rights.

Wrong. Goodes had some valid points but he took an arguementative approach instead of winning people over to his point of view. Do you forget his silly little war dance aimed at opposition supporters?

Don't blame millions of people for thinking "piss off idiot" because Goodes is a shitty communicator

I could hit him from yonks away with my homemade boomerang.

I thought he nailed it with the war dance but then didn’t seem to happy about taking one for the team
