It’s called being in opposition. Agree with everything Labor does and there’s no point of difference for voters to compare. Already the differences are noticeable. Albo hasn’t covered himself in glory over the past couple of years.
Yep, going to be a swing towards the Greens (and perhaps any pro-Palestine independents). So many Aussies have had enough of both parties kowtowing at the expense of Gazans. I'm probably going to vote Greens for the first time in my life. Fatima's probably looking good.

No chance. Their vote is on the decline.

Maybe, but there are plenty of people who aren't muslims that are disgusted, appalled and incredibly angered by Israel's mass-scale atrocities, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.

That maybe so, but it is a fair leap from being a Palestinian-flag-avatar-changing cat, to giving a **** enough to burn down a building.

There are plenty of people disgusted, appalled and angered by the intentional rape, murder, humiliation and ongoing war crime of harbouring civilian hostages since October 7 too, but if there’s graffiti or attempted arson on a mosque, I know where I’d be looking in the middle of a war.

Yeah, for sure, except 30,000 dead innocents tends to stir up the emotions more and of more people than 700 dead innocents. Probably Muslims, but so many Aussies are furious at Israel now, who knows?

Well, there's also a long history of zionist false flag ops.

If you internationally goad a more powerful country into warfare, the results are going to be disproportionately ugly.

Then of course Hamas (or Hezbollah or the Houthis etc.) get the 'advantage' of being labelled by the west a "terrorist group", despite being internally considered resistance movements (including by world leaders like Erdogan and 'Hamas' itself means just that), so they get the benefit of being detached by some as being placeless shoulder of blame and the rest if the entire Arabic nation are just innocent victims, despite many of them wanting these organisations to succeed (and there are polls to this effect).

I'd have never set up Israel the way it is in the first place, but it is what it is now and they all need to do better. Jews and Arabs the lot of them.

In the mean time, how about we keep the war out of my city!

That may be true, but October 7 clearly isn't one of them.

Who are these Melbourne Jews that you allege to have committed who have committed these terrorist activities under a false flag?

There about 50,000 Jews in Melbourne, surely its not to hard to name and shame the three perpetrators so that the other innocent, law abiding Jews can go about their lives without unfounded allegations being bandied about.

You made the alegations, your proof?

Dunno, maybe it was the same guys that doctored the Opera house protest audio?

You've completely missed the point. Nobody in Australia - except some right wing peanuts on here - is saying "oh Israel was goaded and they're wealthier and more powerful so fair enough they've murdered 30,000 women and children". Lots of angry, disappointed, Aussies. Not just Muslims.

The war in Israel and Gaza didn't translate to votes for Greens in the US and it will probably play out the same way here.

Anybody who engages in an echo chamber on this issue, will have a warped perspective of what average Australians want and how they will vote.

They generally won't cast their vote on the basis of a foreign war 14,000kms away.

Comparing US and Australian elections is absurd.

Different political systems, different values, different demographics, different histories, different cultures, and different priorities, for starters.

People don't have different priorities, they're all the same.

They will vote for their pocket, strong leadership and security in their own streets.

Are you denying there is a history of false flags by zionists?
I'm not denying the proven histories or even some of the unproven conspiracies that I think may have elements of truth behind them.

You can't put names to the perpetrators so you use the generic insult of "zionists".

Excuse the broad brushes, but except for some "end of times" fundementalist Christians, zionists are Jews first and foremost.

Can you give an idea of the number of Jews in Melbourne who actively and aggressivly promote a zionist viewpoint to the extent that they would destroy Torahs in arguably the most conservative and fundementalist Synagogue in Melbourne?

Do you differentiate between Jews, Israeli's and Zionists or fall back to the "Protocols of the Elders oF Zion" for the definitions you use in this forum

It's an absurd comparison that probably shouldn't be in this thread.

Read the article.
Koch has been a bus driver at IQRA Islamic College at O'Halloran Hill for two years, and told 9News he doesn't believe the arson attack was racially motivated.

"It was a random attack. This is a very quiet area, it's very quiet," he said. "It's very strange for something like this to happen. We've been here over 30 years and we've never had anything like this before."
