Looking at all my bets now. Cutting them quite substantially then winding in the price.

Was only a matter of time before they got harder on limiting people.

If there is something I really like at a particular price I just go & put it on at an outlet.

What do you generally bet on? Anything in particular?

Have heard of limits on fixed odds racing. But not on tote prices.

Guess they'd limit on the sportsbook too.

Got kicked out of the agency last Saturday, had $100 in gold coins to put in the account. Old campaigner wouldn't take it. Told him what I thought. Went home, sent an email to the head office re shoddy customer service, got a call from customer service apologising and offering to credit my account with $20 which was turned into 90 then back to 0 by the end of the day

You will never be limited on tote prices - they can't lose so the more you bet the more they collect.

I wouldn't have left on principal and made a scene until they took the money. All you had to do was make 10 piles of 10, she would have only had to count one pile then match it up against the other 9. Lenny29 is emailing the TAB as we speak to try and get $20 out of them.

I kid you not, I was in the process of making 10 piles of $10. The old blokes argument was he had no where to put it. What a miserable old prick he was

No

No pokies or trackside in west oz. just fun size chocolate bars and warm soft drinks and a miserable old prick behind the counter at the shitty kingsway TAB

Go in and take a photo of him and post it here. We'll then get him a mention in the Betstar Blast.

If you are betting in the high 100s or 1000s, the time is coming where even this will not be possible.

Really? You could possibly enter an outlet that has four terminals, and fill out four mark sense cards with the exact same bet, and feed them into the four terminals one after the other. Would that work? Obviously you'd have to make sure the outlet wasn't busy at the time, and the TAB operator would have to be aware of what you're doing.

Pretty much in the same boat

This doesn't work anymore, the odds change after the first slip goes through

Interesting. Just on that, I have noticed other agencies have a feature set up that obviously calculates based on volume and potential market loss, and their system adjusts their odds accordingly. I.E. Betstar does this. Centrebet certainly does not. It may also depend on whether you are seen as a risk. Whenever I even a small amount (i.e. $30-$60) on something with Luxbet, the odds come in. But if one of my mates were to do exactly the same bet, it wouldn't trigger and the odds would remain the same.

It's smart work by those agencies. I'm so surprised Centrebet doesn't do the same. That Michael Johnson v Zac Dawson market from a few weeks ago is a fine example, but one of only many of thousands.

Can you get a job with an agency if you start making so much money and they ask you if youd like a job to supply us with your information/knowledge/possible inside knowledge?

Isn't pinnacle all about this? They have an algorithm that adjusts based on smart money?

Perhaps you've heard of puntersclubonline?

I've heard of "relationships" successful punters have had with bookies where they'll continue taking their bets in return fir confidentiality, as they can use that info to their advantage by following it.

But not these days, they're all big multinationals who arent interested in relationships... they just want mugs who'll happily do their dough and come back for more.

What do you base this on? Would've thought the cash offer to the casual would be the one point of difference the TAB has, and it'd want to maintain it.

Well it is harder to limit winning cash punters without also restricting losing cash punters over the counter compared to online, but with technology it is possible to do. The reality is the number of bets greater than say $500 is a very very small proportion of total tickets sold, they will have means of screening these bets and they could use it to weed out the winners. Betting in cash is only anonymous in the sense they don't know your name.

Ive never heard of anyone getting restricted with a cash bet at the TAB. Almost impossible to do. Actually i think almost is being too cautious
